Acid Jazz night - Anker Soundcore Motion+ vs Denon Envaya

Tunes of the day.. Universe of love by Joey Negro and morning by Ralph Castelli 👍

I preferred the Anker mainly do to it's bass on every track I listened so far

Enraged Papaya

Really lovely playlist Oluv. I think this is one of the closest comparisons and it's really a matter of personal taste here.

Jose Santos

Not that i consider having a winner here, but i think even considering between these two on price difference i would get the denon as since it remains less intense on overall sound, the anker sounds good too, but well it has that coloration that make me prefer the denon, also the bass on the anker even though more impacting in some tracks others was starting to drown a bit while the denon remained confortable. So in conclusion denon is good for normal listning and to feel some magic in sound(travel with the music a bit xp), and the anker more for party levels, taking into consideration the difference of refinement on sound between these two. Btw oluv about that noise i hear seems just to be from mics, worry not it was present already and that i can bypass into my like always

oluvsgadgets

Which noise? Can you point me at a part where it’s mostly hearable?

Robert Chan

Do you have a Klipsch KMC 3 you can compare with things ? I'd find that interesting

oluvsgadgets

Yeah I still have it, but no AC adapter, I can only play from batteries

Jose Santos

mostly when its quiet worry not its the common hiss that the components inside the recorder produce probably, i had compared with a video that you recorded with a gopro and it had the same noise, but ye nothing major. (or else can be my headphones :V)

Andrew Tam

You mentioned the denon had some issues. What issues are those? Also does the denon distort at louder volumes?

oluvsgadgets

It has some self discharging, volume control at the speaker is useless as it only sounds right when turned up to maximum. It does not distort, I made lots of videos when it was released also played at maximum etc.

Andrew Tam

Thanks for the reply. IMO those sound like small issues and nothing deal breaker...especially for the great sound you get.

Kein Anker Fanboy aber sm+ ist schon gut👍Kann es kaum erwarten #Minirigs ein Vergleich 3&mini2 mit sub wäre klasse

Stefan Pasligh

Servus Oluv, is that the Denon Envaya DSB-250 ? Regards!

Jose Santos

Yes, still ol denon dsb-250

Lars Lejon

Great comparison Oluv! Just bought the Anker, impressive speaker for the price. Any chance that you could post a screenshot of your Anker eq setting? Thanks

Sunil

I played these back to back last year and really couldn't tell much difference. The Anker is maybe a touch louder, while the Denon sounded cleaner at these maximum levels. The discharge issues with the Denon were a pain, however, and the Anker utilises newer hardware in both a USB-C port and Bluetooth 5.0. I therefore sold the Denon for more than I bought the Anker for, and didn't miss it at all. I've now replaced the Anker (sold for a profit) with the Vifa Helsinki, but it is quite a bit bigger, and I'm not sure about the battery life. The search for a perfect small speaker goes on.

Robert Stevenson

please do anker motion+ vs tribit maxsound+ on low level of volume

Thank you much for Jamiroquai's Music of the Mind! Love this a lot.
