I am quite overwhelmed by the high demand and great feedback so far, thanks to everyone who ordered a unit or even 2 although the sale didn't start as smoothly as expected. In the meantime nearly all planned 700 units were sold. They had added further 200 units for sale which were originally reserved as backup for giveaways, reviews etc.

The first 700 units will be shipped out on March 20th, now they are planning a new batch with further units to be finished and shipped by mid of April and asked me not to publish this video now until they fix the issues with the site and can confirm production for the next batch.

But I don't want to let you wait and prepared some sound demos as most are probably very curious about what they actually ordered and how they sound like, therefore I'll just post it for my Patrons here.

I had prepared some sound samples as usual with the MiniDSP as after all the years of tweaking I know exactly how to insert an IEM to get a result which is close to what I am hearing which is a bit vague with the couplers. The current sound samples are close to the actual thing but still far from the real thing. The Earfun sounds much smoother in real life to me although the overall timbre can be hopefully judged quite well anyhow. But if an IEM sounds off in real life it will sound even more off through the MiniDSP, the smoother and more peakfree the response is the more realistic the sound samples will sound. I will try to work on a better method for my IEM recordings in future actually either sticking with the MiniDSP or finding a way how to use the couplers for this and using the Earfun Free for self referencing. This way we should all get the same results when listening to the sound demos over the Earfun Free, and all other recorded IEMs should sound very close to real life, just the Earfun Free will be "reference" thus sounding exactly like the original recording.

I am planning another last video about this project during the next days where I would like talk about the entire tuning process more in detail also demonstrating the whole history of my different tuning versions, how my version compares to the regular one and how exactly the filters I used are working and which purpose they have. This will be probably quite a long video and I want to shoot it more or less "live" showing you the effects of the single filters in real time therefore I need some preparation time to get everything set up smoothly.

Thanks to all and I hope you will like the final result which will probably depend a lot on our different earcanal shapes.

PS. Finally I got my new inear microphones (3 different pairs) which so far are quite promising regarding fit and handling, they are very comfortable to wear unlike my old ones which were too big to be fitted inside the earcanal smoothly. The new ones will add a bit more hiss though although I haven't done any recording tests yet still I hope I can offer you better results for headphone sound demos with better consistency as I am going to review the 3000$ Meze Empyrean and want the captured sound to be as realistic as possible. We should maybe find some common reference headphone that we all own or can purchase easily that is cheap but with a high consistency. The AKG K240 which I had planned for this purpose changes the sound too much depending on positioning. I could still stick with the HD600 and Sonarworks, if you listen with this setup you should hear the recorded headphones as realistic as possible as I can achieve it because the compensation is based on exact measurements unlike tuning by ear like I usually did before. Listening to the samples over another headphone will be just and approximation and will introduce errors.

ToneDeafLoser

All sold out 163( earlier today) 22 (3minutes ago) when I started to listen to Oluv's sound demo, now -1. I was gonna buy after the sound demo. The sound demo sounds fantastic. I'm a big hd 600 fan too.

ToneDeafLoser

Website is going crazy back to 22 now.

Christian Legner

Kein Problem, habe heute 9:50 die Bestätigung erhalten.

oluvsgadgets

People started complaining I was using the same track again over and over

ralph

Ich war zu spät, leider erst Server überlastet und dann ausverkauft. Bitte rechtzeitig Info senden für den zweiten batch.

Sounds really good, listening on the Lypertek. I actually put the Lypertek after the Earfun for sound, the Lypertek sounded a bit flatter and less smooth in the treble. Just like you described, looking forward to receiving them.

Dominik S

Congratulations Oluv, you should be proud of your product! And congratulations again on massive success all 500 samples seem to be already sold out :)

Barton

They probably just use it as an excuse to complain. Using same tracks is actually a good thing - makes it a lot easier to judge the product and to compare it to other ones.

For me its easier to spot differences with Analog. Its the nature of the beast that a reference song is repeated again and again. From the sound samples alone the MH1 sounds a bit better, as you said, but all I ever wanted was a TWS MH1, so the Earfun OE will be spot on.

Also kommen nochmal welche zum kaufen?

ToneDeafLoser

Keep using Analog. At this point, then we can compare all sound samples. Do not change, ignore the haters. LOL.

Frank Straten

They sound very good. I could not order because of website issues. I hope I will get one from the next badge. You did a great job Oluv! Keep up this nice work!

Stefan Dähne

Leider schon alle verkauft :/ Wann kommen die nächsten? Bzw warum überhaupt sowenig 🙃

this video is once again proof that i am glad that i got to buy theese, not only because of being of a guy that i enjoy his work very much, also as a way to help but also regarding such a sound for cheap, once these arrive i hope i hear even similar to this recording because i am afraid i might not have good ears due to hearing your recordings through such a cheap headphone(tribit xfree tune xp). I also thought abt trying to share this to Dankpods a famous meme guy that does sound reviews he does like the hd600 too so if we could get him to know these then maybe you and earfun could get a boost up on popularity, haha but well ik its pretty hard to convince that to him out of the blue.

Matthias Koehler

Matthew Orme

Congratulations Oluv, sounds really good to me (on my Soundcore life q30 with your eq - bought on your recommendation and super pleased with them). Interesting project. Would definitely be good if there were more products out there with your tuning.

Jose Santos

Yep, he is like the degeneroucy of the audio community, if u go there fo a review all u get is the memes haha, and here i am ideolizing him to make a review on the earfuns hahab. I only have seen the sexy speaker one tho, and by that u mean that one that sad "auxiliary mode"? if so then yep he was in love with that one hahah. Also ya kinda convinced me to go and marathone in his to vids now xd, now i got something to watch more during lunch hehe.

Jose Santos

And the best part was that he was only switching back and forth from bt to auxiliary just to hear the promps say "auxiliary mode" and i was like:im ded.

Patrick

Tune the MIFO o7!

Teo T

"... too boosted in the mid-region..." I am glad you mentioned it. I noticed that during the very first seconds while playing the first sample. But this is the only imperfection for me judging by the demo. I will be waiting for my pair to try them in real! I have the Sennheiser HD 58X, Marshall Stockwell 2 and Tribit speakers - all after watching and listening to your reviews. And happy with all. Thank you for the great work Oluv!

Matthias Koehler

I`m one of the lucky ones that had won this OE and I can asure you that this TWEs are very special. I have tried hours to get my Cambridge Audio Melomania Touch to this level of sound by tuning them with the Cambridge App. It`s impossible. I think you all will be more than satisfied ...

Jose Santos

np man,i understand the motive, and if you don't like responding then just don't do so, don't make it forced if comes at case. Now to the topic well yeah the speaker was some crap, but these promps made me laugh tho hahah. About Davie504, yes i also know him, didn't watch him since a long ago, and although just a bass musician i rlly find to a really good musician and a meme guy, his persona is slightly different from dankpods to me, but leads in a similiar way too- genereousy hahahh. Now abt the earfuns i am expecting them big time, as since they might be at least my first iems i'll ever lister in my life xp.
