This video is softer than my other videos as the bass of the Diamondboxx would have caused clipping at higher levels, therefore you need to increase volume more than usual.

I also noticed some popping from my microphones during some parts closer to the end. I hope it’s just an issue with the plug not inserted well and not the microphones, as it would be me second pair dying. Unfortunately I have no replacement right now. I will try doing some further tests to check what the exact issue is and to avoid those problems in future.

Diamondboxx Model L3 & Rubyoung - first impressions

Interesting that Diamondboxx put the bass knob on the right and treble on the left. This is counterintuitive because, on any frequency plot, the bass is on the left and treble right. I've never seen a bass and treble control this way round before.

They apparently have screwed sense of more crucial thing than common tone control positions. The bass is really awful in this model, I would say it’s always been boomy with any Diamondboxx model, but what is the tuning in this model aimed for, I really don’t get. Maybe as Olaf said, they only tuned it for maximum loudness. What’s funny then though is, why they put this volume knob there 🙈

The mids/highs transition of the Diamondboxx is not bad but it could be better and the bass is boomy as hell, i don’t like it Now i just hope it will not distort at max volume like its little brother the M3 and being much louder than than a JBL Partybox by looking its huge woofers The Rubyoung sounds quite good because it’s clear without much exageration with the bass and the highs The only issue is that it has an unbearable distortion at maximum volume so it’s not a party speaker aswell and its price is just ridiculous

Both of these companies need to get some better taste in fonts...
