Let's hear if the new upgraded version sounds any different, also throwing in the JBL Filp 6 for comparison.

Tribit MaxSound Plus upgraded vs old version

Comments

I got side tracked by Santa in the background 🎅 😆 i like the new tribit sound signature but they are similar ...feels its just a little bit more finessed.

The 2 upgraded maxsounds i got first sounded different. 1 has some peak at 12000hz and the other is flat in that area. So i ordered a 3rd and this one is exactly the same as the other flat one. My guess is that this is the intended tuning as it sounds smoother and better to my ears. Also for stereo pairing its nice they are the same.

I achieved to pair the new version with the old one in tws stereo. Just press the bluetooth button on the upgraded model until that weird voice says "stereo mode" (probably giving you a heart attack), then turn on the second unit and press its bluetooth button for at least 5 seconds. They sound nice and loud in stereo, especially for that price, but I really want to try that Flip 6. I also bought two Vifa Cities in order to use them in "sex mode". I love how they work together and how they fill the room with that brilliant sound. Ti auguro Buone Feste!

While the JBL is better in ways, I'm pretty happy with how the MaxSound Plus holds up, especially for the price.

Are you sure it's TWS (L/R) and not just Party Mode?

Roberto B

Yes, I also did a "Left/Right Channel Test", it surprised me.

It works although there are some slight sync issues, the sound shifts between left and right a bit, you can hear some phasing, not sure if this would improve with 2 upgraded units

I hear it too, but for me it's not annoying. I think this is a great feature that Tribit doesn't promote. I also noticed that if you tilt the speaker up to 45⁰, it stays in position facing up and it sounds slightly nicer
