I took both speakers with me for holidays and wanted to demonstrate the advantage of the JBL over the Bose when taking them around.

I totally agree with you, for such a big company Bose is pretty disappointing.

I still cant decide on Bose or Flip 6. But for super quiet listening below 40%.

Thank you Oluv for this really nice outdoor video! For me I can say that I have also still not decided wich one to buy. Maybe it would have been nice if you had compared the two with the Bose lying flat vs hanging upwards, so one could have heard how much closer the Bose would get to the clearer sounding JBL because of this treble boost when layed flat vs hanging upwards. Really looking forward for the announced further videos so I can decide which one to get. Happy new year from Hamburg :-)

I think Bose is for low to medium listening which sounds very clear and rich and personally I think it’s better than the Jbl but the F6 is better for outdoor and high level of listening because of the sheer sound. I was going to buy the Jbl flip 6 but then finally decided with Bose. Personally, Bose is a winner for me cause I can turn it on and off with app, it’s flexible for flat and on axis listening, the bass is richer and fuller than the Jbl and yes it does compress at high to max vol but I never listen on high level with small speakers anyway; I have the motion boom for rhat

I listen to the Flip 6 and Bose Flex for about two weeks and I really cannot decide which one sounds better. Both are really good speakers for their size. The Bose sounds great with deeper bass but the highs from the Flip 6 are soooo great. It sounds more Hifi somehow... One day I like the Bose more, the next day I prefer the JBL. I would like to buy a second one to go for stereo, but I don't know if it will be a second Bose or a second Flip 6!?!?

IKR? the struggle is real haha

For a low volume desk speaker I've been testing for hours upon hours the jbl flip 6, the bose flex and soundcore motion plus and although the jbl sounds amazingly clear and the bose is so "vocals in your face" and impressive for its size, the motion plus is just the most flexible and I can eq it to sound amazing. I actually enjoyed bose's tuning, they make the vocals really pop out, but it is not a clear speaker, it's almost as if they boost mids and some highs. At a certain volume and eq (I'm using a computer eq) I can switch between the bose and the motion plus and the sound indistinguishable, but as I increase the volume the motion plus retains more clarity and can be eq'd to jbl levels of clarity. I really wanted to keep the jbl and flex but I just returned them today. I couldn't justify the purchase when the motion plus was making my head spin with how good it sounded. I might just get a second one instead.

For me also! Soundcore motion plus wins for the paket (prices form etc). Now i will test the sony xb 33

I understand the struggle to decide which one to buy, but if you intend to buy two for stereo, no doubt that two flips 6 would be the way to go, because when you pair any two speakers, the bass double, while the trebles tend to decrease, so two flips would be much satisfying in stereo than two Boses.

also the flip 6 is better to setup directivity wise

Can you tell me which EQ you're using on the Motion+?
