I was actually shocked how horrible these “Devialet drivers” performed. Although allegedly equipped with some tweeter the speaker suffers from heavy intermodulation and severe distortion issues already at low levels. And people are talking about “marketing fail” by Earfun. Now this is what I would call marketing fraud.

Hi, Oluv . Is this the 0.4.5 firmware running on the UBOOM L ? I can see it on the mainpage of earfun . Should I update it or leave it on 0.4.4 ?

I heard it in a store(the huawei) and I listened like 20 minutes to it to see what's so special. But it didn't distort like in your video. It really didn't with anything I throwed at it. No, haven't tried bass boosted music because it's just crap. But it also has some sound modes, called normal, hi-fi, or sth else, I don't remember

As far as I could see on the internet, you can use HUAWEI AI Life app to somewhat customize the sound. There is also some “Devialet” mode which is probably the tuning they do the “rip-off” for 🤪

This Huawai has exactly the same issue as the Beatbox portable because its highs is very « scratchy » and hurt my ears… horrible (The bigger Beatbox was decent)

I think i will sell my soundlink flex for the Uboom L This Earfun sounds pretty nice

😁 I did not even watch the video until the end… 2 minutes are enough to hear that the sound definitely is „NO JOY“ !
