There is obviously some delay with the production of my new microphones as the “designer” has some family problems and cannot build them right now, thus I cannot really perform any quality recordings neither measurements with the current setup which is why I decided to take some time off from everything. After our holidays in Croatia, which we really enjoyed a lot, we decided to repair some stuff in our house, as it’s been more than 15 years that we are living here and obviously this is the period where a house starts to slowly fall apart again and become ugly. We are currently in the process of improving the interior with new furniture etc. I am pleased to show you the final result when finished. Although renewing the kitchen as well as a new heating will still both remain on the waiting list because we are getting out of funds due all the expenses and the crisis.

I cannot await when everything is finished to be able to share some new stuff with you. Hopefully I will also get my new microphones soon. I just got the new Gopro 11 Mini to maybe improve my 1st person shots, I must confess I haven’t even opened the box yet. But I was in contact with Audio Pro and will get a loaner of the new A48 as well as the smaller A28 speakers from them. I would like to try how much of an improvement the A48 would give me over my A36. Allegedly the entire acoustics of the A48 is new with a bigger cabinet, different drivers, more powerful amps etc. On the other hand I am curious to hear how well the A28 can keep up with the bigger ones. I remember from my older videos when putting the T8L against the T20 I was surprised how nice the small ones sounded directly compared.

I am of course also aware of the new Devialet Mania but I honestly cannot afford getting one right now. I will try to contact the German seller though if he could provide a test unit.

The HK Onyx Studio 8 is already out as well which would be also interesting to hear maybe even side by side with the Devialet to verify if all of this hyper modern mysterious tech like “active stereo calibration” with acoustic real-time mapping and “speaker active matching” really makes any sense. Apparently it is only equipped with full range drivers thus sound dispersion should be rather bad especially for a 360 degree speaker!

I was also planning to get the AirPods Max again as a potential candidate for some sound tweaking by creating a fake hearing profile. It’s far not as precise as a parametric EQ, but more flexible than a fixed band EQ, because you can freely select the desired frequency and the gain. I wanted to experiment with this more because I really liked those headphones just sound wise I was not fully satisfied.

I am sorry for all the delay but it also helps to free my mind from everything and leave all the frustration behind. Apparently Earfun’s account on the German Amazon store was suspended, thus there are no Earfun products being sold right now in Germany. I had really hoped the UBOOM L would have become more successful than it is, which would have also helped me with my finances but recently I got less than 300€ of my monthly commission which is just depressing. You are the only ones who keep me alive somehow and I want to thank you all for this.

MMMM

Wishing you all the best Olaf! It’s good to take a breather, and I’m here to support your efforts. :)

All the best Oluv! A proud owner of 2 UBOOM Ls from German Amazon. :)

As you said. The patreon is for those who appreciate what you're doing.

I'm honestly astounded at the value of the earfun. I think I paid $62. With your EQ, the full water proofing and rugedness of the product. I'm sorry to hear it's not doing as well.

Thank you for your dedication, effort and hardwork Oluv! im new to this community so "hello everyone!!" 😂🤗. Current owner of rthe FP2, on mobile i was previously using samsung"sound adapt" for all the different headphones and FP2, sound ID for my monitors at home. Thanks again to you, i so happy to have the FP2 sounding awesome with your EQ with some tweaks made it perfect for me! my 5 sets (2 for me and the rest for loved ones) of UBOOML also arrived last week (with a pair of Air S, 1st version of FP and a backup FP2. will try the Air s after this post but those UBOOML's... OMG it sounds amazing!! no ear fatigue even after using it for 5 hours. has that Genelec 8010 character im trying to see if its possible to pair them up using wires ( 2x out via my audient) and do a few custom Sound ID settings.

Quick question Oluv, what speaker eq app would you recommend for android?

oluvsgadgets

I don’t use Android but others always mention Poweramp.

KlarkKentThe3rd

As long as you're not reviewing full size headphones, I hibernate. You're working on a microphone? Sounds like you're having a fun time.

I know some things about this topic. The good news, on Android you can have system wide extensive EQ software. The bad news, it's only for rooted devices. If you don't feel comfortable unlocking the bootloader and flashing custom software, then you have to live with the stock limited EQ. Every app on Playstore just uses the stock system EQ library's. Poweramp and other player who have own audio rendering and EQ build in are also a solution, but will only work in those apps

Hi, Oluv! Tomorrow it's that day. Black Friday on the minirig website. Do you think that thay are power wise and also loudness wise a big step up from my 2 anker soundcore motion plus's? I mean the anker are already really loud for my apartment. I can't use them even at 80% reason for which I prefere low/mid level listening. So. Do you think it's worth spending the money? And if yes, 2.1 or 2.2?

oluvsgadgets

Probably not. The Minirigs are pretty loud but can’t compete against 2 Ankers. But they are way smaller too

Foltea Iustin

Really? I mean I've heard that 2 m+'s are louder than 1 jbl xtreme 3, so a 2.1 minirig setup should be at least 4-5 dB louder. So it's not worth it for power?

Foltea Iustin

I know the ankers blow me away in my apartment, but I hoped the minirigs would be even louder with more bass at maximum.

Foltea Iustin

What alternative do I have as an upgrade over my 2 motion+'s?

oluvsgadgets

Sorry I thought you meant the Motion Boom+. The Minirigs with sub will be of course way louder than 2 Motion+

Foltea Iustin

Thank you a lot! You don't even know what this answer means to me!🤗

Foltea Iustin

Also, îs The difference that big outdoors with 2 subs or even indoor(even for some party)?

Houssem Hamdani

Hello oluv Thank you so much for your videos :) I want to buy a new speaker and i’m hesitating between the beolit 20 and the xtreme 3. Can you please tell me which one sounds the best and if you have another suggestion of a speaker in the same size. Thank you so much for your help.

oluvsgadgets

The 2nd sub will be noticeable at higher levels. And of course you can also boost it through the app to get even more bass overall. It’s not the deepest bass though, but very kicking and considering the overall size really impressive

oluvsgadgets

Anker Motion Boom Plus should give you more power but also deeper bass than the Xtreme and it’s cheaper. The Beolit 20 sounds fake and bass starts to distort at high levels. If you don’t mind the larger size and weight you could consider the Tribit Stormbox Blast which competes pretty well with the JBL Boomboxes while being much cheaper especially now during Black Friday sales
