Current goals and upcoming artwork (Patreon)
Content
So, we have passed the $400 goal! Music! As you may have seen from the sample I posted of the animated images accompanied by music and sound effects, I have already completed quite a few of the videos. I will start posting them this week.
Each video will be around 5mins long which will include the 10sec looped image, unique sound effects (wind, rain, birds etc) and an original music piece that will be the full length of the video. I really do think this adds another level of realism and immersion to the images and I'm enjoying the creative process. Obviously to create these in addition to the artwork themselves is quite a big investment of time and therefore I will be adding these types of videos to the $4 tier. My real goal is to be able to dedicate more and more of my time to this artwork and expand on their usability by adding more elements like this music and SFX. And as the additional artistic elements take more of a time investment they will be added to the higher patron tiers. So, those already at the $4 tier will automatically have access to these videos and I think it makes the $4 tier a lot more worthwhile.
Additionally, I want to thank everyone who voted on the poll to continue with the Curse of Strahd artwork or move to another adventure. I read and got a lot of great ideas from your comments. Feedback like this is truly invaluable to me as my goal is always to make these artworks as useful as possible. So please continue to leave me comments or any ideas that you all might have, it really does help.
The voting was about 50/50 between continuing Curse of Strahd minor locations or moving to another adventure, so for the moment I plan to continue CoS and in addition I plan to add at least 6 more locations to the voting list that the $4 tier patrons have access to. In the future though, and again when I am able to dedicate more time to this, I will potentially take up making artwork for a second D&D adventure. I really love making this content!
I have a lot more ideas for the future and the fact that I can pursue this, because of the appreciation that you all show for the artwork, is truly amazing to me. So I want to thank you all for your continued support and love for Curse of Strahd and D&D in general. I can't wait to see where this goes!
