Ravenloft Chapel - Still Image (Patreon)

I love Ravenloft Castle. Enough said... but seriously, the amount of detail that went into fleshing out the history and life of the castle is amazing. I feel like I could just run it as a dungeon crawl over and over again because of the amount of characters and content. My players saw maybe only 1/3 of all the rooms in the castle and unfortunately the chapel wasn't one of those.

Still, this one was really fun to paint, thinking about the history of the von Zarovich family and who they used to worship, and who they worship now. It gives me a lot to use for little detail ideas in an image like this.

I think the animated version also adds a lot of life to this one in particular, check out the sample on my instagram!  https://www.instagram.com/jamesrpgart/?hl=en
