The more I paint these Ghosts of Saltmarsh locations the more it gets me in the mood to find the time to run the adventure, or at least play some sea faring campaign. Another thing I notice when I try and paint locations that have a map with a geographical landscape is that the designers often have a poor sense of scale when it comes to the height of some of these features. For example, in this image, the mountains and sea stack in the background are supposed to be around twice the height of what I have depicted, but when you actually try to make it to scale it looks so unrealistic.

Anyway, what do you think, how'd I do? As always check out the animated preview on my Instagram

And let me know what other Ghosts of Saltmarsh or seafaring locations you might like to see.

Love it! Now I’m in a rush to get here, but it’s a few adventures off still. That Lizardman hill took the parties breath away. Keep it up !

Thinking of what would be fun for us, and probably a blast to draw... the scene of the giant octopus taking out the ship in Salvage Operation. I could see a scene where they finally burst out on to the deck, the ship listing and taking on water, giant flailing tentacles tearing it apart. Could be a view from the stairs. Damn, that idea alone is going to give me nightmares :-)

It looks amazing. I would rather it look real then be true to scale from the adventure

I love your Locations, especially since many of them are usable for other locations than those in the adventures they come from.
