Snowy Wilderness - Still Image (Patreon)

So, with myself and other enjoying all the Icewind Dale art at the moment, and because a large part of the adventure is wilderness travel, I thought a wilderness travel image was needed. And also, with quite a few of the Patreon map makers dedicating some maps to the snowy Icewind Dale terrain, I decided to team up with one for this location. Alex from The MAD Cartographer produces a huge amount of maps and is dedicating November and December to Rime of the Frostmaiden and Curse of Strahd locations, so definitely make sure you check out his work. He makes battlemaps most days and Foundry map packs every month.

And, in addition to that, one of the other details about RotFM is the weather. The Rime of the Frostmaiden adventure rules ask you to roll to see if there is a blizzard or not, which is all too common, when travelling in the wilderness, so the location needed two versions. I actually have wanted to paint some Aurora borealis effect for a while in an image, and I'm glad that I finally got the chance. I also hope this is useful to a lot of you, whether you're running RotFM or not.
