So I have been brainstorming a lot lately and I have decided that I want to give some cohesion to all the 'generic' locations I have been doing lately. So, I am going to start building out a world of my own through my artwork, which I am very excited about. Starting with this image, I intend each new location to tell a little bit more of the story of the setting and it's uniqueness. The first and one of the main pieces of the story is that it is an inherited land. The current society is young, perhaps 10 generations old, that has made this ancient land their own. And upon arriving on this continent from having to flee their homeland, they discovered the many ruins of an ancient Elder civilisation. This ancient summoning circle being one of those types of ruins. The architecture of the Elder folk is very organic, almost Lovecraftian molded stone in nature. These folk were obviously great wielders of magic, but the use of magic is now almost completely lost to the current society, but the magic items, lost in the many ruins, remain.

This is also a special one because I collaborated with Micheal Ghelfi, who is an ambient music creator. And he was kind enough to share some music and ambience he made to accompany this location! A little blurb on Michael:

"Michael works on the biggest audio ambiences library for RPGs, ranging from fantasy cities to mysterious wizard towers. His work also comprises Sci-Fi, Steampunk, Cthulhu, ... and is used in hundreds of postcasts, video games, escape rooms, etc. You can get hundreds of exclusive pieces on his Patreon, along with great collaborations with TTRPG content creators. You can also listen to his public tracks on YouTube and Spotify, where altogether, more than 100’000 dungeon masters already follow him."

So be sure to check out his Patreon, or Youtube channels.

Let me know what you think of this one, and my personal world ideas! I don't have a name for the setting yet, but when I start to release more locations based in the world and you all get more of a feel for it, I will start to ask for suggestions for a name!

And as always you can find the animated version preview on my Instagram, and thank you all for the continued support!

Downloaded the jpg but it seems to save as an unrecognizable file. Love the art!

I like the idea of your own world and this looks like a great place to start

I love this! Something similar would be cool on like a plain or something. Stonehenge-like :)
