I always enjoy painting these more bright and pastural images from either Lost mines of Phandlever or Dragons of Icespire peak. I am personally moving country next month and I think this is probably inspired by the place I am moving to... can you guess where? :) I have also been asked recently to add more 'generic' locations into my voting list. I don't know if this location is what you would call 'generic' but I don't think everyone homebrew adventures are set either in a snowy setting or dark Ravenloft, which is what I have done the most of recently.

As always, let me know what you think and feel free to give me some recommendations of any 'generic' locations you would like to see and I'll see if I can fit them into my personal world locations. The $4 tier voting list will be going up soon, so let me know in the comments.

As always you can find the animated version preview on my Instagram, this one is particularly calming I think :)

Yay!!! Wow it's beautiful. I can't wait to show this to my players. I'm in for more pastoral style pieces and generic locations. But I'll be excited, regardless. Good luck with your move!

I love the rolling hills and the green, green grass of your new home ❤️

Looks awesome, great job!

Amazing like always, love this one. When it comes to more generic I wouldn’t mind having more locations from Dragon of Icespire Peak. There is a lot of variety there.

Amazing!! I really appreciate everything you do. And well if i can choose a location, i would like to see more of CoS, or something inside Wave Echo Cave or even something about Storm King´s Thunder, but everything you do its perfect. :D

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've just started up a new party & they are all brand-new to the Forgotten Realms setting (and some have been playing / running D&D for *years* - don't know how they managed that, but I've quickly realised that this new group of players are... "special") Because they don't know anything about FR or the world of Toril, in general, I've started them off with Lost Mines and Icespire Peak, and I'm just gonna walk them up and down the Sword Coast from there ;-) Your art is truly helping me get these newbies immersed in real-life-Faerun!

As for "generic" . . . can't speak for everyone, but I would imagine "generic" art to include some simple, potentially multi-use scenes that always occur in pretty much every / any game, are often overlooked or forgotten, but are the nuts-n-bolts of an actual living world. • a view of a camp with nondescript tents of flexible/obscured number, as dusk falls • a "scenic view" looking along a high road, like the High Road connecting the Sword Coast cities (worn cobble or paving stone and nondescript other travelers at various distances) • ditto for a trade / wagon road, like the Long Road in the Dessarin Valley, or the parts of the Triboar Trail that are near towns, intersections, or cities that maintain them (some old paving, gravel, interspersed sections of hard packed dirt, wide enough for wagons / caravans to pass each other) other travelers more sparse / distant • ditto for a local / farmer's road (packed dirt, some areas of gravel and/or encroaching grasses, maybe a farmer with cart & donkey, or a roadside stand selling produce, honey, etc, farm fields or pastures beyond) • a clearing, open glen, dirt trail, and/or smaller body of water in a forest / woodland setting • ditto, but at night • ditto, but sinister feeling • ditto to the above but for a grassland setting; a "rolling hills" setting; a highland setting; an alpine region; a taiga / boreal setting; an arid setting (and so on) • view approaching default-type locations (generic palisade fort settlement; generic stone-walled village; nondescript walled city gates; approaching the entrance to a motte-bailey style settlement; a manor house / countryside estate; a town square; a village green) • human-element scenes with location-nonspecific settings (the town well with "innkeeper's wife #3" drawing a bucket of water and "random gaggle of kids" playing in the background; generic herder out in field with flock / herd of sheep, steer, goats being driven across a road; interior of a general store or trading post with a few "townfolk #2" arranging purchases or whatever) • generic scenic overlooks for different nonspecific biomes (view of agricultural river valley; view of mountain pass; view of road leading into canyon lands; view of desert / desert oasis; view of maritime environments from tropical beaches to coniferous-covered fjords; a recent avalanche or landslide; wetlands that *aren't* oppressive/sinister swamps) sorry if this was a giant info dump, I was just brainstorming the sort of things I'm always pulling from google or wishing I could find artwork for as I bring my players down the road or arrive in a new environment - hope some of these ideas are useful!
