Rather than compose a complete melody with a piano, I opted for a different approach to force myself to integrate new musical elements into a new score from the beginning, then gradually construct an idea around it. I suppose the goal was achieved: it definitely doesn't sound like any orchestration I've produced prior, but I'm curious how I'll manage to refine this unfinished concept into a fully realized song...
