Just in case no one else has told you, before you start S2, you need to watch 2 OVAs - the two part No Regrets OVA, and then Ilse's Notebook. They have important context for the upcoming season.

Also it's easy to forget that Eren is 15 years old, and has been friends with all of the top 10 for 3 years. They spent every day training and bonding with each other. To Eren, he's just found out that one of his close friends has been against them the entire time and murdered a bunch of scouts, including the people who died protecting him. He already has survivor's guilt, and is now in denial that one of his friends could have caused him so much pain. If Armin is the brains of the trio, and Mikasa the brawn, Eren is the heart. He feels so deeply and is an emotional person who will do ANYTHING for his friends, and so he just can't process the idea of a betrayal like that.
