CastSenpai

If you ever get to watching a comedy anime, the drunk idea would be perfect

Evalyn♡

The language in the show is Japanese, but if we're talking realistic terms he would probably be speaking german since the show is very European culture esc. This is just my opinion!!

MJ Hernandez

i love how you guys ovethink every detail lol

Hippopi

Gelgar didn't sacrifice himself, he sustained a head wound and didn't have the motor function/strength left to control the ODM gear.

Hippopi

Nanaba was going through a traumatic response - kind of like a childlike regression that can happen. It's a hint that she suffered abuse at the hands of her father.

Papa

In their world they are just speaking their language, canonicly it would propably be some form of their worlds German

Porco

They would speak German since almost all the names are German and the architecture and culture, clothes are also very German

Emily MacDonald

I'd say they are implied to speak a fictional language bc they use a fictional writing system, but their culture is vaguely Germanic, so maybe something kinda like German. The voice actors speaking Japanese (or English or whatever else) is for the audience to understand them Think about it like the movie Frozen---it takes place in a fictional Norwegian-inspired country, so it would make sense to assume they would speak Norwegian or a fictional language that's similar to it, but the audience needs to understand, so the actors speak English There's no benefit to having them actually speak in a fake language (and using the closest real equivalent wouldn't be practical) even though it would make more sense in-universe

BEAST TITAN 😁

Cherrie

BEAST TITAN 😁

Cherrie

BEAST TITAN, the name is BEAST TITAN! 😁

Lilith

Dude calm downnnnn 😭 idk why you’re so intent on squashing their fun, let them call it a monkey if they want omg

HJB

When Hange was studying titans in the first season they discovered the titans don’t weigh a lot. That’s the reason Reiner was able to carry it up the stairs!

Nina Leonard

Their native language is German. The whole set is based of a German town, Nördlingen, which the creator visited. Most names in this show are German too

Sean Carroll

well no, hange picked up a dead titans limbs which was evaporating, picking up a fully functioning titan is still heavy. You can see from Reiners struggle that it was incredibly heavy, the titan was of similar height to a human so its basically like squatting a really heavy person

Sean Carroll

Nanaba was abused by her father as a child, in your dying moments your life flashes before your eyes and her memory of being abused was what she remembered at the end of her life

HJB

Please watch back episode 15. Hange states that the titans bodies are “extremely light”. Titan bodies appear out of thin air. She follows up with “the titans we see and their actual body could be different things all together”.

Sean Carroll

i already know what happened in ep 15, what i said doesnt discount hanges experiments, if a whole titan body was light then why was reiner struggling?
