it was stated in a mid title card in season 1 that horses can run between 75-80km an hour and reiner said last episode that his titan was slow and wouldnt be able to outrun them for long

This. Pretty sure it stated that the horses that Scouts use are specially bred to be strong, fast and built for endurance.

not sure if you picked up on it during the conny, sasha and historia scene but they figured out that ymir is lying about having to hand historia over to save Ymirs life. Ymir doesnt think there is a future for humanity in the walls and so bringing historia out of the walls will allow historia to live safely and not get killed during an eventual end of life for people in the walls.
