Oh one more thing to clarify! The girl with the brother! They're both from North Korea and escaped to South Korea but the parents are still in the North. For the right price there are smugglers and private hires you can pay, who can get into the North and get people out through secret channels, or pay off people in the North and get them out etc etc. She has already paid the guy once to get her parents out but his contact stole the money and ran off (so she was pissed and threatened him with a knife) - so she's trying once more to get the money from Squid Games to get her parents out. She is reassuring the little brother at the orphanage it won't be long till she gets them out. But that's why in ep 1 that guy made a comment about her being from the North, like she's somehow 'different' or 'inferior'
