J-Lee

YASSS LEZ GO, LEZ GO MAH SODA POP BOYS!!! 😆🫶🏻🥰💜

Zeemo

Yesssss omg such a great movie I’m so glad you guys are watching it ! Speaking of demons, you guys would love the demon slayer anime!1

floo

Yessss I'm screaming I was waiting for this

Mica 💫

Fun fact: Rumi’s singing voice is EJAE. She used to be a trainee at SM but her debut fell through 😓 so she left Korea and relocated in the US. Such amazing talent! She wrote all the songs in the movie. A true artist thag FINALLY is being appreciated 🩷

Zoee

The voice actor for Jinu was in a very popular k drama called Business Proposal. The slowmo scene where they see the Saja boys for the first time has the same song from Business Proposal 💜😭

Bella (~ ̄³ ̄)~

The girls at the end are actually a part of a popular girl group called Twice, which you guys should 100% check out if you can. I'm not sure and I don't think they sung for the characters throughout the movie but the song takedown in the post credits is called the "twice version" so I'm assuming not.

floo

Yeah the last three girls are part of kpop group called twice is actually koreas nation girl group u should check out their songs too.

Zoee

The girls at the end are actually in one of the biggest girl groups, Twice!

Lila

omg i didn't think you guys would actually watch this 😂 interested in seeing your reaction

KK

Fun fact: the boy group is actually based off bts and some of the bts members are actually big fans of the movie

catalina

i know a lot of this was based off of kpop groups, BTS, EXO and ATEEZ. i think you should also check them out!!

leen

YESS !! I understand totally what you guys mean, from what I've seen, a lot of people, especially those who doesnt know anything about kpop, or just reading the title alone, didnt expect much but after watching, they love it and even has opened up interest for some wanting to explore kpop, and just overall the film is amazing itself with the storyline and animation. Also the girls at the end are a part of a K-pop group called TWICE, they're in the same generation as BTS, under the company JYP !! If you notice, there were little easter eggs throughout the film referencing them!

d ⁷

also Yeonjun from TXT was the inspiration to one of the character

TJ

loll none od us were waiting for it, I guess we all went into it a bit judgemental, because we don't know if they are using this phenomenon and ideas from it for a subpar movie, I just randomly after running out of things to watch clicked on it after 5 days of its release. And boy I didn't regret it. Some BTS members also watched it.

catalina

yes!! i knew there was someone else i couldnt think of who

kiwi

fun fact: the groups were based off of real kpop groups ! when huntrix ran into saja boys for the first time it was clear they took inspiration from exo during their koko bop promotions (they even played an exo song lol), but they were basically a mix of bts, exo and ateez (atleast thats how i see them). also they had a kpop group called twice sing the song takedown, you can see it at the end, they also played another twice song in the movie. and a lot of these songs sound similar to songs by actual groups or what they would release, for example golden sounds really similar to i am by ive, and your idol sounds like ateez! sorry for the yap 😞🤞🏻

J-Lee

Listen.. Jinu.. and Jeon Jungkook 🥹🤧💜

J-Lee

Charlie, I'm with you.. Shrek is a fave of mine and my daughters'! 💚

floo

Bang PD was funny🤣

floo

Love the reaction thanku guys 🙆‍♀️

Armeen Afzal

The creators of this movie have mentioned being fans of BTS. The Saja boys are also inspired by BTS.

MorganxJKBias💖

I loveddd this too much!!!! Also the 3 women at the end are apart of a girl kpop group called Twice. I did come from your Triple Take Reacts patreon channel, and I loved this too much❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

J-Lee

I really enjoyed watching this with you guys. Like the whole almost 2 hrs, even if I've seen this movie already, I just really stuck here with you coz it's too fun rewatching with you three. Thank you guys!! 🫶🏻💜

Michelle

26:17 the way it jumpscared him😭😭🤣🤣

Sydney

You should definitely look at twice 🙏🏻😊

Fern Edwards

So glad you guys enjoyed it as much as I did! I think we all went in thinking it’ll be cheesy but left like ‘what the hell!’ Incredible right, the songs are in my playlist too 😂 it was so moving! I love the inspo for saja boys from groups like BTS and Ateez I know others mentioned this already in the comments but the voice actors and the singing actors are separate people, the three girls at the end credits singing takedown are from famous kpop girl group TWICE who recorded a special TWICE version of ‘takedown’ just for the credits, but this version is also in the Spotify playlist from this film

VoidOf_V

Wow, you guys are sooo into it and so amI. I loved rewatching it with you guys! Love this reaction sm!!!

Jiminn lvr

the 3 girls you saw at the end who sang takedown are from the girl group called twice!

Lila

"he's got eyebrows now" lmaooo

Jonesha smith

you guys should watch KDA stuff by riot games if you liked that movie. Think you guys would love it.

kaya

loved the reactio!! also fyi the characters were inspired by real kpop groups like bts, exo, ateez, stray kids etc..like jinu, the main guy is inspired by actor/former idol named cha eunwoo. alsooo the girls in the end r actually a kpop group called Twice!

ellie:)<3

Eunwoo is still an idol btw! he’s still part of Astro, he just stepped back for his solo/acting career and was taking time to get ready for his enlistment on July 28th!

I got interested, as I'm sure we all are, if there would be a sequel. Here's a summary of what I found in my search. While a KPop Demon Hunters sequel hasn't been officially confirmed, the creators have expressed interest and hinted at possibilities for a continuation. The success of the first movie on Netflix, coupled with the director's enthusiasm, suggests a sequel is likely. Here's a more detailed look: No official confirmation: Netflix has not announced a sequel to KPop Demon Hunters yet. Director's interest: Both co-directors, Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kang, have publicly stated they have ideas for a sequel or series. Open-ended story: The first movie leaves some plot threads unresolved, suggesting potential for future storylines. Not sure how many people noticed but the Honmoon at the end wasn't the Gold (sealed) Honmoon, but the regular healthy (blue/purple) Honmoon, so Gwi Ma could come back. Plus, Jinu gave his soul to Rumi, so it's possible she might be able to bring him back somehow. Also, it never went into her parents or her demon Dad, so lots of possibilities and the writers supposedly already have plot written for additional movies. Fan enthusiasm: Social media is buzzing with fan theories and requests for a sequel. Potential for sequels: Netflix has a history of ordering sequels to successful original movies, making a KPop Demon Hunters sequel a strong possibility. Possible directions: Kang mentioned exploring side stories and unanswered questions, potentially focusing on Rumi's past or the relationship between Rumi and Jinu. Also, since it was initially supposed to be twice as long, but was adjusted for a younger audience for Netflix, the series may get darker as it goes on, with the more serious and dramatic themes coming out as the series progresses toward the final climax.

Khaycee Estinopo

Thanks for the deep dive, Christine! 🙌 We were curious about a sequel too, and this gives us hope. Love that the directors are interested and there are still storylines to explore. Fingers crossed Netflix makes it happen!

Martina

Eunwoo is still an idol!

if you wanna see more “Kpop Demon Hunters” related content i recommend this video performance of k-pop group TXT! They’re under the same company as BTS (BigHit) and BTS mention them a lot. Video Performance giving Saja Boys vibes. And interesting fact one of the characters of Saja Boys was inspired by the member of TXT Yeonjun.!! https://youtu.be/aySVVSY2Ysw?si=nn8ShjO_xkoLCcRU

TheBookWyrm

thanks for the reaction! this is the first time i’ve seen you guys, and i have to say- you’re a really fun group. i think i’ll probably stick around 😁 if you guys are interested in more animated movies with an interesting storyline like this, i have to recommend ‘Nimona’ if you’ve never seen it. it’s animated in a somewhat similar style, and it’s not a musical but the story is very emotional and the characters are very well developed and relatable (it’s based on a webtoon that later made it to print). it’s also another movie that dropped straight to Netflix.

jenn sanchez

them saying to start a kpop group when they already are one for 10+ yrs was frying me 💀💀💀😭😭😂😂

L.S

I watched the Your Idol scene like three times. It was FIRE. Like literally the best song out of the movie, playing it on repeat. And what’s wild…. That’s literally how entertainment is. And we fell for it. 😑

L.S

Jinu setting the example for all, gave his power to them and by default probably saved them all. 🔥 shout out. Fave character hands down 😆

Rose 267

lol we NEED you now to start reacting to kpop MVs asap XD

Rose 267

make a poll for a few groups or suggestions from us overall, and check the discography and all

Nessi

They already have a Patreon where they react to BTS

Rose 267

not enough for me lol, have them watch twice shinee mamamoo solo artists, stray kids SVT, the list is endless

emmanuel Boucher

You should do zombies movies especially the 4

Catric Bere

🚨 🚨 Jimin and JK should do a cover of ”Free” asap 🚨🚨

Chris Daniel

I think Ben might have meant harmonious? 😅

Chris Daniel

I've seen this movie several times now, loved watching with yall. I don't have many people go watch things like this with so its nice to have yall to watch it with sort of. Excited to see how your tastes changes and grows as you watch more things. That's always the most exciting part to me. I recently got a friend I to invincible. He never watches animated stuff and he has really taken to it which surprised him similar to what yall were saying at the end of this. So that's a fun little parallel. Haha

Indivian Shieldborn

I assume you are referring to TWICE, who sang the last song ('Takedown TWICE version', for the credits), and not EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, who sang for the characters in the movie, as while they have been in the industry for a while, they have not been a group until the movie. EJAE is not only Rumi's singing voice, but also the primary songwriter for all the songs except Soda Pop, so I could definitely see them make a great K-pop group, even if the industry would usually consider them too old.

Jessica

I have watched so many reactions to this movie and this is one of my favorites! You guys are so insightful and I love the tangents you go on!

Jessica

No matter how many times I rewatch this reaction, that jump and "The man in her came out" cracks me up every time!

Jessica

Also, I think he meant to say harmoniously.

Mariah

I love that they called Jihyo a baddie just from this. I don't think they'd survive watching her perform "ATM" or "Right Hand Girl" haha. I hope you'll react to TWICE and other kpop groups one day!
