Konner Cragun

This is the saddest episode in the whole show. And I can’t really blame sang woo for playing Ali. When your life is on the line, you have the right to do anything. Unfortunately Ali was to good of a person to realize the tricks.

I can’t stand this series — it’s absolutely terrifying.

One thing to remember is the squidgame is only a couple of days and it's not like they pick another batch to play the games every week/month, so it's probably a 1 time thing per year. So if his brother is IN the game like one of the red guys, it should make sense that he has been joining the games for years, since he doesn't leave with his family and just got noticed by his brother this time that he is MIA for days. Just a guess

I'm with Ben here. One of the saddest deaths (and if you think this season's deaths are sad OOOO boy just wait) was the match between Saybyeok and Jiyeong (the two girls) I've watched squid game about 5 times now and it still makes me cry every time.

you’ll notice that they use different words for different people. Ali uses hyung for sang woo which is something used for a older brotherly relationship

I really wanted to recommend the latest and very popular K-drama 'When Life Gives You Tangerines'—it’s truly worth watching! But I know you’re already juggling four series, which must be quite a lot. Still, if you ever find the time, I’d really love for you to give 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' a try

mi-nyeo isnt actually calling everyone babe, its just in the subtitles. but she's actually calling them "oppa" which is what younger women use to refer to older men, like how men use "hyung"

Fern Edwards

This episode was definitely the one that made us all cry at home 🥲 justice for ali hyung = term men use to address older men. E.g. Jin is ‘hyung’ to everyone in BTS. Literally means like ‘brother’ but it’s used in an informal way to speak to an older male you’re close to, (one of the bros). It’s why it’s so sad to see Ali call Sangwoo ‘hyung’ only to be betrayed 😭 (a girl would call an older man they’re close to ‘oppa’ as that’s the female version, but can be used in flirty way. You’ll hear it said a lot too)

Olivia

I was crying the whole time watching this episode😂 but you guys should watch a silent voice!

Anyone else enjoyed the rain during their reaction?

Hyung means older brother ( but it’s for men … when a women call an older brother she will say oppa )

Essentially both Sang Woo and GiHun did the same thing. But it’s interesting because many excuse GiHuns actions just because it’s against an old man who’s already lived. (Other reactors and commentators) All it shows is in the end, literally anyone will choose survival unless they have a bigger motivation and don’t care about their life. Also. It ain’t right. But can’t blame him.
