Love that you took the time to dissect the last scene. It is real. Isn’t that clapping eerie? Charlie, you’re on to something with your first statement about Gojo’s state of mind. Can’t wait for the next one!

Amanda P

And Ben, that was Toji referring to himself as a monkey because he has no cursed energy.

Jiminn lvr

yess toji (the guy who got blasted by gojo) is megumi's dad!

Congrats

Dude you guys are straight down my favourite reaction channel. I bought my membership just yesterday bc i couldn't wait for it on YT. Be prepared because season 2 is why jjk got anime of the year.

Guys... Remember, Geto has been the one, for the past 4 episodes reeling Gojo back. Due to the fact that he's the strongest Gojo thinks he can do whatever he wants and Geto has been saying "No, its because we're the strongest we have a duty to protect people." When Toji (Fushiguro's dad) defeated Geto, he said to Geto that he should live with the shame knowing that he got defeated by a monkey ( non-curse users). Remember in JJK0 Geto kept calling non-curse users "monkeys"? That moment in the chapel, those people were a part of the cult that hired Toji to kill Riko and that was Geto at that moment struggling internally with right and wrong because those non curse users were clapping in glee with the death of someone but at the same time he had to reel Gojo back in to remember that they have an obligation to protect the ones weaker than them.

Essentially, the crowd was clapping because Riko was dead. Gojo was just there to retrieve the body. Gojo had obviously been through a LOT (dying, killing, awakening, etc) and at this point the assumption is that he was extremely emotionally numb, which is why he said "The way I feel right now, I doubt I'd feel anything about it". But obviously to ask that question in the first place, it's safe to say he was probably angry too. Geto is starting to question morality and justice of the Jujutsu world, foreshadowing what we see of him in the movie/S1.

I find it funny that you guys struggle with who "Megumi" is when Gojo for all of season 1 only calls him Megumi. Only the other people in the school calls him Fushiguro. In Juju Scroll episode 23 Nobara and Yuji called him "Fushiguro-kyun" and Gojo called him "Megumi-chan"

Can you delete the huge spoiler? Have some sense.

Yashu

Bro you know what you did here let's be real xD Delete this *it's to Jiminn Ivr, not the OP

Yashu

Geto never called people's monkeys in this flashback arc, Toji however did call himself monkey for not being able to use cursed energy

Mo

Check out the Ralaz boys as well! Love their reactions!

Congrats

Na im not paying bro i made this exeption cus i really like the hype and the way they track the story too.

Toff

The people at the end were basically churchgoers who are a part of the time vessel association religion (who is worshipping Tengen and wanted to stop the assimilation), Gojo was retrieving Riko's body at what we can assume is their house of worship when Geto found him (presumably also going for the body), and the worshippers are clapping/celebrating Riko's death because its in line with their religious beliefs, thats why Gojo was wondering if they should kill them or not, but Geto saw no reason for it because they're just commoners worshipping to their god, they're not the ones in charge or higher ups in the TVA groups hierarchy (from my interpretation of it), it's interesting how Geto is the one opposed to killing monkeys and is acting as Gojo's moral compass in this scenario. Great reaction as always guys been loving the JJK content!

spoopyjhope

Reason why Toji randomly got a flashback of Megumi is cause Megumi means blessing and Toji was speaking of blessings beforehand

nplaza777

i'm pretty sure there was a japanese warrior that supposedly died standing up.

Bevan Sanoj

Make sure to watch the Blu-Ray version of episode 17

Zee ☆

Season 2 is fireeeee

Mia_Rose

How do you not understand the end? It’s probably bc you didn’t pay attention to Geto’s past philosophy before he changed and became a villain. So you’re thinking his good views aren’t him. This is why you need to pay attention

Jiminn lvr

my bad i didnt think its a spoiler because i didnt even say the name i doubt ttr would understand what was even said

Jiminn lvr

they dont even know who megumi is so im sure i didnt spoil anything

Jiminn lvr

i did not know buddy i didnt think itd be a spoiler since i didnt reveal anything i just didnt realise op changed canon stuff to leave out certain infos to avoid spoiling, i js thought op probably believed that

DarkHorse24

If you remember in the jjk movie, Geto had the same curse Toji had when he was fighting Yuta which implies he did in fact take the curse in this episode after Toji died.

Luke Fox

Megumi means blessing in Japanese. When toji died Gojo inherited Megumi (Blessing) while Geto gained his curse. Starting with the end of this episode, you will see just how much more symbolic that is as well as literal.

Gian Pajoy Vargas

They are clapping for riko chan's death, they are "common believers" in the religious group, people that dont know anything about the jujutsu world and didnt play a role in ordering the assasination of riko and are just lambs blindly following whatever the leaders or "masterminds" tell them, but they are still clapping for the death of a little girl, that's why gojo wanted to kill them. "the masterminds" are the people in the religious group that ordered the assasination and do know about the jujutsu world.

1osaki

Hey, I feel like you guys are stuck on geto from the movie and you're not really focusing on the fact that this is a flashback. Everything he believes in, in the movie is not what he believes now. It's all leading up to the events of how he gets to his thought process of how non sorcerers are evil. Even in episode 1 it starts with him describing how sick he is of constantly using his power and helping those in need and feels under appreciated. So I would say try to pay a little more attention to that next time.

KeliTTries

So we learned at the beginning of this season that empathy already wasn’t something Gojo was great at. It was the topic they’d discussed in the basketball scene where Geto basically had to explain to him that as Jujutsu sorcerers they had to protect the weak essentially because “it’s the right thing to do”. Even with Geto’s explanation though, Gojo still seemed to struggle with thinking in that way back then. So now take that Gojo who struggled with empathy to some degree on a good day, give him the ultimate power high from teaching himself to heal his own wounds and to vaporize a person on the spot, and put him in a room full of evil people applauding the death of an innocent girl - that was a powder keg about to go off. But thankfully Gojo still had enough sense to realize that about himself and instead delegated the decision of who should live or die to Geto. Someone he by then knew would probably be a better judge of these things.

Guys Please Watch Weak hero EP6

TTR i had the funniest dream!! i fell asleep watching JJK but woke up due to a sudden downpour of rain. in my dream... Ben is filming a big production for TTR. there was a lady walking (i cant remember what her deal was, but she's to be interviewed). your crew escorted her to a luxury yacht blindfolded and had her change to a fancy bling2x dress. then to surprise her, Ben is hanging to a helicopter ala jungkook's euphoria style, wearing a nautical suit, short blonde hair with full on mustache as if you were proposing to her. 🤣🤣🤣 then i woke up and you 3 are still talking about JJK but different episode. 😅

lomoko

You guys need to rewatch the basketball scene to understand their ideals and where Geto vs. Gojo stand because the whole point of these episodes is to show how their worldviews shifted from then to where they are in the present (complete opposite stances from the beginning of S2)

Mo

LOL they have a YT too hahaha

Congrats

ye but this is 1 month infront of the yt thats what i meant whit i couldnt wait

KD

L REACTS Every goddmn time

Zer0Starblood

that's not true, he says "damn monkeys" at his breaking point.

Zer0Starblood

It's a bit that doesn't make as much sense in translation, Megumi translates to blessing, he literally said the name of his son out loud and remembered that it was in fact his son, who he gave the name to.
