YAY! So the gang that you saw at the end are six out of the nine hashiras, who are the top of the top demon slayers. Giyu Tomioka is also a hashira, as is Shinobu Kocho (butterfly girl), and there are two more that you’ll see in the next episode. In coming episodes they will all be much more present and it will be so fun to see each of their breathing forms and techniques, y’all are going to LOVE them!

Yea Demon slayer now slows down a bit now with action so we get to know all the characters and than explodes with mugen train (the movie) which is so fck good bro. And yea hashiras uffff. About the Upper 12 theres LOWER and UPPER class Rui was LOWER 5 basiclly 11th strongest but lower moons compare to upper like technology from 1980 to tech in 2025 so yeaa. Enjoy DS. W ep.

Honestly imo other than zenitsu, the hashira are the reason this show is good. For anime standards demon slayer’s plot is very basic but the hashira add the extra flair

Also, this is what I love most about Demon Slayer - that the characters, not only the protagonists, but also the demons, have their back stories and have lessons and morals that the viewers can learn from. Others say that the plot of this anime is just average or like cliche, but I totally disagree bcos each episode has a deeper aspect in them. That's why you'll find most DS fans, liking even the demons and not just the main characters. Every character, if not most, in this anime is well thought and built.

I really hate how the writer made Mitsuri a fan service material, every time she’s on screen people have something to say about her costume. I think she has the best personality among the Hashiras, and she deserves a better-written character. And sorry Seb, but it would be boring to have all the demons carry a tragic backstory. There are at least three characters who are the pure definition of evil, so not all demons are meant to be sympathized with.

Uggghh I cannot wait to get to Mugen Train. As some people suggest, 2x1 and then the movie seems to work best. I watched the movie and then 2x1 and it was still good though.

and since they also watch kdramas which are 40+ minutes an episode, 2 episodes of anime would be equivalent to one ep of a kdrama! it just makes the most sense honestly

Just like others suggested, make sure to watch 2x1 and THEN the mugen train movie, as it's the chronologically correct order and makes the movie ten times more enjoyable.

Tomioka’s name is Giyu, so Giyu Tomioka. And Kocho is Shinobu, so Shinobu Kocho.
