Not sure if you’ve watched up to the movie yet. The best way to watch it is 2x1 AND the movie at the same time, and in that order, then resume 2x2 after the movie.

Thanks TTR for the double ds ep per week cant wait for the movie! and @~A did such an amazing job w this list ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~NOTE for Demon Slayer future reactions~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The correct order to watch Demon Slayer after season 1.. Season 1 -> Mugen Train movie -> Season 2 episode 1 only (Skip the rest of season 2) -> Then season 3 (Entertainment District arc) Explanation: Season 2 on Netflix is the same as the Mugen Train movie but split into episodes. Same content. Just a different format. Some people prefer that format. Season 2 episode 1 is different. It is not in the movie. It shows events that happened before the movie. You can watch episode 1 first, then the movie. But that would delay the movie by another week and since we are excited to get to the movie fast, you can react to episode 1 after. Either way works.

You guys really should consider reacting to two episodes at once for anime, because anime is not like k-dramas with eight episodes, it’s way longer than that. It took you guys 6 months to finish season 1 of demon slayer, which is INSANE. Anime episodes are about 20 minutes, so two episodes are around 40 minutes, which is still less than one hour for K-drama episodes. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS.

As others have mentioned, you will get more backstory on Rengoku (Flame Hashira) in Season 2 Episode 1, which I highly recommend (as well as others!) before you watch the Mugen Train movie! The little girl that Shinobu and her sister Kanae took from that man's name is Kanao :) And we'll get more about it in the rest of the series, but Charlie is right here. Flame breathing and Fire breathing both exist in the demon slayer corps, but they are two different breathing styles but they are separate and different from each other. Episode 26 is the last little bit of background info and the last episode for this first season. We'll see the wrap up of the boys training and then we get into season 2 and more about Rengoku and the Mugen Train movie which I know y'all will really enjoy. Thanks so much for the reaction!!

I wasn’t sure, but did they realize that Kanao’s backstory also involved a pre-Insect Hashira Shinobu and her older sister, Kanae, the former Flower Hashira? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyway, you're correct. Kanao, as a child, suffered extreme abuse that left her emotionally numb and unable to express personal will. Hence, Kanae gave her a coin to leave decision-making to fate through a coin toss (unless given an order). Meanwhile, the difference between "Fire" Breathing and Flame Breathing will be explored in Season 2. You're also correct that Tanjiro's father is not a demon slayer, and he practices "Hinokami Kagura," or Dance of the Fire God. It is a ritual dance offered to a deity associated with fire and the sun. It is passed down in Tanjiro's family, and I think it was in Episode 19 when Tanjiro's father told him that no matter what, the dance and the hanafuda earrings must be preserved and passed on. This dance's roots will also be explored moving forward.
