i kinda understand Charlie's point but a person can survive stab/cut wounds as long as they don't bleed out, the location of the wound and the severity of it. Also she had hella adrenaline so that kinda helped her stay conscious.

I think if Jiwoo died, it would be too predictable just like how we all knew Choi was the one who killed her dad early on in the series. Killing off Pildo was the element of surprise that the audience was not expecting because we were all too focused on Jiwoo’s revenge that we overlooked the fact that him being a close person to her made him a target.

I'm normally a fan of main characters dying at the end and I probably would've been happy either way but for this I actually think it's better with her living, I think it's a cooler story that she now has to figure out how to live as a human without her previous whole life's purpose and no other support around her, purely figuring out on her own as her own choice. I also think pildos death wouldn't have hit as hard if they'd both died, the fact she has to live now while he's lost his life makes it sadder, but it's like her whole life had already not really been hers and so I think it's more impactful that even with everything fully taken away from her she ends up living despite it all. It's definitely not a she lives and so it's a happy ending I think it's more a she lives and so it's a sadder ending but we get a little bit of hope with it being fairly open

I see where Charlie is coming from but I personally think choi wasnt trying to kill her. He himself just wanted to die, I think he knew that there were no bullets in that gun and I felt that he wasn’t hitting her vital parts on purpose when stabbing her. He could’ve went way harder on her in my opinion because we know choi is such a good fighter. And I just think that killing Jiwoo would’ve been too cliche?? Idk I’m glad they kept her alive! Anyways I love this show so much I can’t believe it’s been like 5 years since it came out I loved it ever since, thank you for the reaction guys! 💕

I'm with Seb. I think yall too focus on Jiwoo ended up being "monster". She didn't ask to be a monster, Choi made her be one. And her killing him is justified, her dying bcuz she becomes monster after Choi groom her would NOT be fair at all. She stay living freely is also her father wish, hence her father also wins over Choi. Something her father couldnt do, now his daughter got the courage to do. I hated that Pildo died but this ending makes a sense to me. It needed another dead for Jiwoo to finally kills Choi. Being a "bigger person" is optional not a must. We can't expect her to be a bigger person or died when she don't, that would be unfair.

I agree with Seb 100 percent! (I had exactly the same thoughts and feelings while watching it) It would make no sense if Jiwoo died. She went through all that and now she will live a new life without revenge. Pildo death is just a pain ❤️‍🩹😭

And since we already have one thriller kdrama, “Glory,” I suggest we balance the content with a some romance. Especially since the guys themselves say they would like to see something new and romantic, not just thrillers. A kdrama like “Twinkling Watermelon” would be a perfect fit here. ❤️‍🩹🎸☀️🙃

yess I agree exp with Choi telling her all the vital points, it was like he was guiding her to kill him. Also shows that he knows exactly what he was doing, yet somehow never dealt any vital wounds? def think it was on purpose and that's why the ending wasn't with her dying

I’ll recommend something a bit different. **Kingdom** is a Korean historical zombie drama. Back when Korean dramas weren’t yet widely popular on Netflix, this series was one of the first to gain major attention and helped kick off Netflix’s investment in Korean content. Even now, it still holds up extremely well and remains highly entertaining—I *strongly* recommend it. Alternatively, I recommend **Moving**, a Korean superhero drama. If you’re looking for a realistic romance drama that isn’t cheesy or childish, I recommend **Because This Is My First Life**. On the other hand, if you want a drama about Korea’s education and college entrance exam system, I recommend **SKY Castle**. Most Korean school dramas focus on *school violence*, but this one is relatively fresh because it centers on *parents and the admissions system* instead.

Seb's POV is on a film maker POV. they left it for the viewer's imagination how Jiwoo survived all the stabs. You may consider they showed Captain Cha Giho's resolve and look in the hospital - he probably have pulled out Ji woo and saved her in the end.

I was heartbroken when I watched this the first time. I couldn't believe Pildo was killed. I rewatched it like 4 time to make sure it actually happened. It took me a week to reconcile myself with the end as well. I also wasn't sure she could have survived her injuries but at the same time I agree with Seb because if she died it would have been because of Choi which means he would have ultimately won.

I still remember watching this finale for the first time, and the fact that Pildo was shot remains, to this day, one of the most shocking and unexpected moments I’ve ever seen — not only in Korean dramas (which I’ve been watching since 2010), but on television in general. I don’t think anyone could have predicted it, and that’s why it left such a deep impression on me. I remember my stage of denial lasting for several minutes even after the shot, because I couldn’t believe it had really happened… especially right after the scene of their first night together, and after he had convinced her to take the “right path” and stop destroying herself. I agree with Seb 100% that this is far sadder than just her death in the finale — especially considering such an unfair and unexpected loss of the person she had only just found.

Incredible show and super entertaining reactions. I particularly enjoyed your commentary style, as I find more engaging the pause & discussion when something noticeable important happens than doing it all at the end and risking forgetting details. When I first saw this k-drama I thought nothing could compare, to this date it remains in my top 3. I commented on the previous episode but if you’re looking for something just as good, check out Taxi Driver (2021) or Voice (2017) and if you’re interested in a romance/action/revenge plot, look for K2 (2016).
