The first game in this episode is actually the first game that Arisu, Karube and Chota play when they arrive in the Borderland in the manga (source material). In the Netflix adaptation, they played the game in the building where they had to escape, if you remember.

I also mentioned this in the previous one’s comments, I think they’re trying to give us some answers, and the “between life and death” scenario clarifies a lot. Now we can just focus on the games without needing to ask where we are, while also keeping in mind that there’s a fantasy element to it. Personally, I like that it’s open-ended and blends reality with sci-fi. It adds depth and leaves room for interpretation, just like real life. Concepts like NDEs, dreams, and the collective unconscious are already mysterious, and I love how they’re using them to keep things open-ended.

watch solo levelling ik ppl think that it's overrated but for those who are still actively discovering anime it's a good watch
