i wonder tho why yall were so reluctant to address the underage thing tho? i mean i dont think how speaking ur opinion on it or saying its wrong out loud could POSSIBLY affect u or ur channel negatively... thats why i didnt understand the major relief yall had when the show itself acknowledged it was bad. cuz why did u have to wait for the show to do it to be able to admit urselfs that it was? and only talk about it off camera. basically in an opinion that has no negative consequences but only makes u look bad if u DONT address it, why not just speak on it before? its rlly weird to me idk. i think a lot of men r like this tbh. they will stay silent on issues like rape or pedophilia UNLESS another man speaks on it first, then they follow. but if noone does, then they dont either. hmm..

Could be many reasons. They likely trust their audience to not suggest a show that wouldn't address something like that. Or they were waiting to see how the show would handle it before jumping the gun and making claims. I actually appreciate them waiting to have more information before addressing something without full context, and they actually did make comments on it but were skeptical. I understand you are talking about real world implications, but these guys are watching an anime and were just letting the show speak for itself before being outraged. TLDR: I'm sure if the show never addressed it and they completed the series, they would feel the need to say something. But since they were patient and didn't jump the gun, it didn't come to that!

I don't feel sad, I can't empathize with any characters for some reason, that's why I don't like this anime, but I'm looking forward to what's going to happen afterwards, The manga is good

they did have info about it tho n knew it was wrong. which is why they were feeling uncomfortable with the entire scene and why they talked about it off camera. they were just too afraid to call it out ON camera which is why im confused why??? they know his age since last ep and knew the girls r 25+ as they said themselves last ep. but still refused to speak on it. if the show never mentioned it they wouldve let it go n never acknoledged it on camera after that be fr. if they WOULD have spoken about it i DOUBT anyone wouldve commented "no ur wrong! childs sex abuse IS OKAYY!!" LIKE ??? noone in their right mind would have given them hate for it. so still dont get why they were so afraid to speak lmao. simply just didnt have the balls to tbh. n thats dissapointing.

I kind of think this is what the show wants u to feel it makes it uncomfortable. But to insult them is crazy they don't have to address everything they see. Also, your assumptions about them are concerning seems u have a lot of anger or resentment at men on this. I think is normal men take things in and mull it over women have more emotional reactions both can be the wrong reaction and both can be right in this case I think there was nothing wrong with them waiting for the show to address it. also 16 is unfortunately the age of consent in Japan so this whole exchange was legal. That being said they really should move it up to 18 heck I think 18 to young u cant even drink yet but u can consent to sex crazy world.

sex wt a minor is still illegal in japan. ur allowed to date one but not have sex with one unless very close in age. i did research on it because she said "they throw u in jail for doing that kinda thing with minors". if even the show said it what makes u think it was legal ? and i kinda think its their JOB to react and SPEAK on what theyre watching. its what we're all paying for no? silence isnt a reaction. its just ignoring scenes.

They are in australia, a leftist hellhole, that sends people to prison for wrongthink and committed grave human atrocities during COVID, a fake pandemic. Of course they feel uncomfortable talking about anything taboo! It's ingrained in their culture to fear wrongthink and wrongspeech.

the thing is that many people can't handle is not bad to have a show with bad and even creepy things like this, the bad thing is how they handle them, if they normalize them, from this show you can see that himeno is a grey character drunk and depressed cause irrequired love from Aki , made a mistake, that normaly should be paid, but she didn't that with bad intention, as manipulation or attracted to childrean, and of course is still creepy from our points of view and in many underage kids, can cause trauma and problem in future relationship, but of course in denji case not, and in this show context is nothing what himeno did, is wrong but her evil doing was simply sex with consent with one 1 year and half younger than age of consent that in normal circostance is bad enough , but let's not forget that they are denieng denji every right, make him work a job that could lead to his death under threat (way worse that what himeno tried to do), and Makima is grooming denji with manipulative intention and not simply by mistake of a drunk night as Himeno

I kinda understand yalls confusion so far: Alot of animes will have this out of touch behavior where theyll treat serious topics like this as fan service, or the whole boob and dog thing as something to be brushed off of as a silly little quirk. Thats why going into chainsawman its best not to underestimate the show, because its almost always THAT deep.

I've never read the manga but its a lot longer than what is currently out for the anime. There should be at least 2 more seasons. Apparently from people who read the manga we haven't seen anything yet. One thing that's different about this anime is every single episode has a different outro. It might be worth doing a video reacting to all the different outros.
