GUYS CAN WE GO BACK TO SUB PLEASE?? 🙏 The problem is, you can’t just read comments for the missed context. That’s the whole point of the reaction. It’s really annoying actually. The other problem is that there are so many of us who can’t stand dub (including me) and we’ll have to stop, whereas those who like dub, they were already watching it subbed. The switch is the main point here. You might not have known, but that doesn’t make it fair.

Even if Dub:Sub is 90:10 you shouldn't drop 10 people who followed you this much!! Finishing Sub first and doing Dub later will drop no one!

Agreed! The reasoning doesn’t make sense for the dub. They started sub, and they attracted sub audience. Switching means making a bad decision for the views , for the audience trust, and eventually losing that audience. If they aren’t gonna watch it subbed, I’m done here.

No, the most liked comments for the past episodes all wanted SUB. And if it’s not that serious, why you all made them change it to dub to begin with? And you’re the one replying to my comment. I don’t agree with you at all. Because then you are saying everything else they watch, they can’t follow and make commentaries because they are watching it subbed? Absurd take. That’s why it’s called “subtitles”

@Yangsun Kim that’s right! Because everyone was already watching it subbed, and they had SUB audience started with them. It wasn’t a fair switch at all, it was just sub lovers spamming their comments. And that’s right, we are just trying our best to make it fair but it seems like we’re trying in vain.. In the last episode they said they’ll be reading comments, and now they’re saying they’re sticking to dub? Doesn’t make any sense at all.

It was only switched because they weren't following it in sub very well. Death note is one of the better dub ones as well.

@Peadar Allen No they were following well. That's why I watched until ep18. If they were not following well, why a death note fan follows them until ep18? But I didn't touched ep19 at all. I tried, ep18 with them, but couldn't stand dubbing. It distorts origin. The points of voice act cause actual gaps of storyline.

Glad you're switching to dub! Practically every Death Note reaction on YouTube you can find is for the dub so a) it's a smart idea to continue with dub especially if you want to reach those audiences and b) you're in good company/there's no need to make life harder for yourself when every other reactor is opting for the dub too

You guys do what you want but if it's dub I'm out ✌️ and I think the switch is a bad decision cause: 1. You started in sub, people who like the sub are here and they're not gonna like the switch and it's typically not a "oh well that sucks but lets keep going" it's a "this is so cringe to listen to, I can't even watch this" while I never hear the reverse for the dub. The most valid complaint is "I can't listen to this in the background, I have to watch and read too" (if its a reaction I think the point is to be watching anyway but yeah). 2. The only way to get used to subs is to stick to them (98% of anime have bad or mediocre dubbing because the english VA industry is more geared towards lower age range cartoons and it's not taken as seriously as it is in Japan. Light legit sounds like he should be doing a toy commercial). 3. The dub alters character personality by adding things not in the original. Light is intelligent, manipulative, composed and calculating, but with the potato chip scene as an example, they add in seconds of heavy breathing like he's losing it. I personally really dislike this as this deviates even further from the creator's original vision of the character. They're freestyling. 4. Forget missing out on the "iconic dub", you're missing out on the original voice acting for Death Note (travesty!) Mamoru Miyano as Light also voices Chrollo from HxH, Ling from FMA, Death the Kid from Soul Eater, Tamaki from Ouran High School Host Club, Doma from Demon Slayer Infinity Castle, and many many more. As for L's voice actor, Kappei Yamaguchi, his range is INSANE. He does Usopp from One Piece, Inuyasha, Feitan from HxH, Kuma from Persona and more. 5. If audience opinion matters, then at least put it to a poll first. If you prioritize absorbing info more then disregard this point.

It's totally disappointing, like we're in Ep20, and you are following the anime in sub just fine. What triggered this dub shenanigan?! Ugh. Watching an anime in dub is such a huge joke 🙄 Kinda sad coz I've followed Death Note from the start, but I'll have to drop it here. Can't stand watching this. 😩

Whether or not you're a sub or dub fan for one of the many anime this channel reacts to you shouldn't forget that at the end of the day you're a TripleTake fan as well, respecting their decisions and why they've made them comes first before your own personal preference. It's their channel, they listened to the comments and made the decision on what they wish to do moving forward with all of our feedback in mind and whether or not you agree with what they chose we all need to respect the fact that it is their choice to make. On a side note I hope you guys check out the anime Kaiju No. 8 soon I think you all would really enjoy it and it'd be a great addition to the channel. There's currently 2 seasons roughly 23 episodes with the third in production for later this year or early next. Keep em comin' boys!

If you have watched them watching this, kimetsu no yaiba and jujutsu kaizen, you would know that they misremember and get confused with plot details and characters a lot. They've admitted part of that is the subtitles. I think both are fine. I was annoyed that they kept getting stuff wrongba lot but actually now I think I prefer it. It was kinda funny.

No one is arguing against that in general sub beats dub. I think most people will agree sub is better. It's just purely in this instance they are finding it easier to follow the story.

I have a question about sub. How do you know which streaming service offers the most accurate subtitles? There's multiple versions in the Japanese with english subtitles with subtitles that differ quite dramatically. It's annoying that there's one version of dub but so many versions of subtitle translations.
