2026-11-02 23:00 When a shinigami dies they leave behind their note book which is what a humans memories of it is attached to not the actual shinigami which is why misa still has memory of it. since the notebook was left behind she only loses her memories if she gives up ownership.

Ben has mentioned he's liking this anime better so far! As for the other I don't know/don't remember what they said. I'd love to hear their favourites in general

Zugzwang

There are three notebooks in play right now. The Task Force has one, which was the original one Light picked up that has the fake rules written in it. The second one was Misa's notebook that was buried in the woods that Misa got from Gelus (the shinigami that originally died to save her life). The Third notebook, Light just acquired from Rem after Rem sacrificed herself to save Misa. If you recall in episode 25, Light found where Rem died before anyone else and picked up her notebook and shoved it into his pants. So right now, Light has two notebooks he can freely use as Kira while one of them is locked away safely under his watch as L.

And Monster 🙏

I don't think it's still buried, as she dug it up. Though I can't remember where she's keeping it now

As Zugzwang said, there are currently three notebooks. The notebook Misa has always used was from Gelus, the shinigami who died saving her, while Rem had her own notebook. When Rem died her notebook was left behind in the pile of sand that was her remains, and Light took it. The third notebook is the original one that Ryuk dropped in the human world and Light picked up, which is now locked away at the taskforce headquarters. The one he's currently writing in is the one he stole from Rem.

Both Misa and Light were about to be caught and executed once the 13 day rule was disproven by L which triggered Rem to take action against Alfred and L which in turn increased Misa's lifespan killing Rem in the process exactly as Light planned.

They're moving to a new headquarters because they don't have Watari and L's money to keep this one running, lol. Just imagine how much it must cost every month just to keep that whole building up and running, guys.

Lights instructions to Misa was to re-bury the notebook but take a few pages to act as Second Kira. If she dug it up again it was never mentioned.

I can listen to their accents all day lol

I wish you guys would’ve reacted to a deleted scene of L funeral it’s such a iconic scene unfortunately it’s not included in the anime
