Probably the one episode that almost made me stop watching Supernatural. Hated that ending

For me the worst part is the writing, with the 'I need some space in a more dangerous environment' approach. It would have made more sense to have the Stynes break into the bunker. This was written by Brad Buckner and Eugenie Ross-Leming, widely thought of as the shows worst, most shock-obsessed writing duo. Will have a bit more to say on the story development itself next episode.

I felt the same way. I was used to characters dying on Supernatural... but this was too far.

If it makes you feel better the actors didn't like it either. at teh SDCC a few months later someone asked about killing of Charlie and Jared, Jensen, Misha and Mark all leaned back put their feet on the table and crossed their arms, leaving the writers/producers who were there to answer it.

I understood the need behind pushing Dean to his limits, but there were other ways to do that, than killing our little cinnamon roll. It seems only Jody & Donna (& emo annoying Claire) have the ability to avoid the female curse on this show. I hated it, the actors hated it, all the fans hated it. This was probably the worst SPN death in the entire series, as far as hatred for TPTB goes.

And their love of a certain actor who they kept finding ways to bring back and invent storylines for was rage inducing, no matter how good that actor. God I can't stand those two or Dabb.
