There’s just something that Alyssa had that made it believable that she was a younger inexperienced sister that was excited to become a witch. Lori rom was great but something abt her screamed more mature. Or maybe I’m just biased and used to Alyssa now 😂😭

Nice to get into Charmed for a bit again 😄 The differences between Alyssa and Lori's versions of Phoebe are interesting to observe, I agree that Phoebe definitely comes across as much more mature here. The delievery of some lines (such as when Pheobe tells Piper they are protectors of the innocents the charmed ones) is much more playful in episode 1 while it sounds much more serious in this version. We are obviously more used to Alyssa and I really like the youngest sister vibe she gave to Phoebe in early seasons but this version is interesting too, I sometimes wonder how different Phoebe's character (and the show in general) would have been if Lori didn't leave the show.

This was an actual pilot but Lori left. Buffy's pilot was more of a "concept" "test" pilot to see if the network would be interested in it.

Lori left due to her religious beliefs. Not sure why the Andy actor changed. Also, the manor scenes were shot in the actual manor in this.

I think there should be a re-watch. Even if it's a year or 2 from now. Whenever you say so but, a re-watch is a MUST. I was there in the 90's when it aired and have seen Charmed a million times. However, every single time I watch it's different. When you reacted to this unaired Pilot, but still knowing what you know, your commentary is EVERYTHING!!! Re-watch is a must at some point. In my option
