This was a great episode, and I suspected Moe was an accomplice the moment he put Veronica in that room and handed her the drink. I just wish Veronica had the same kind of caution or PTSD about drinks as I do. Ironically, Veronica Mars played a big role in shaping that mindset for me. I watched it live on UPN as a teenager, and ever since, I’ve had a hard rule: never drink anything that’s been left unattended or handed to you unless it has a sealed cap and even then, I just bring my own one and hold it for dear life in my hand. It always frustrates me when Veronica drinks in these situations, because something bad always happens and sadly, that reflects how messed up the real world can be. I was genuinely worried for her in this episode, but so relieved when she made it out. That scene was seriously intense as was the whole episode.

And our next Buffyverse alum arrives. The cigar smoking man in the Dean's office aka Kakistos from Faith, Hope and Trick season 3. ( love that they got a season 3 Buffy alum to appear here on season 3. Ya think that was on purpose?)

Veronica stabbing Mercer with the unicorn figurine is giving Buffy staking a vamp with Harmony's carousel unicorn. And V's breakup bangs are giving Buffy's Amends bangs.

I can't tell if it's my rocky relationship with this season, or the season itself... but I NEVER remember that the Cyrus Murder Case is coming. Do I know who murdered him? Of course I do! It's comically obvious (In fact, as soon as we met the character I was like "Why do I know they murder someone?"). But everything about the Hearst Rapes always overshadows it for me. And this might be the overall problem with the season, because even the Mercer and Moe reveal was too telegraphed. As I said in my comment for 'President Evil' they had Mercer dressed as Alex from A Clockwork Orange... a notorious sociopathic rapist 🤪 THE RETURN OF MY BELOVED MAC ATTACK 🥰 Parker is the best (I love that she does for Veronica what Veronica failed to do for her) ❤️ "I think we have a choice. I think we can take a tough-but-survivable amount of pain now or stay together and deal with unbearable pain later. So, I vote for the pain now"... Unbearable, indeed 😭 HA! Break Up Bangs. GOOD ONE, LIAM! 🤣 Cyrus drinking out of Keith's Life Ain't Fair mug 🙃 Yeah, Keith... why would someone participate in an affair? 😜 YOUNG JAMIE CHUNG!! See? Both Keith and Logan went to extremes here to protect and get revenge for V 🥹

I love the implication that Veronica picked Lamb for the victim in her perfect murder term paper 🤣 It's interesting, Mac is upgraded to opening credits for season 3 but is then absent for a large part of the first half of season 3, it was great to see her again. As much as I like Logan and Veronica together I do think this break up was done well with Logan realizing where they clash and why it's for the best for them to end it. Trying to decide between whether Logan should be congratulated or slapped is honestly accurate for so much of his character 😅 It's definitely satisfying to think about the fact that Mercer and Moe will get what's coming for them though. Speaking about Mercer and Moe, there is a detail in the picture Veronica saw of them that sort of implies why their relationship is the way it is - they are wearing the prisoner and guard outfits from the same kind of experiment Wallace and Logan did earlier this season.
