Someone made a really good point that I'll put here: "Also, I know it likely was a joke about moving back to Gotham, however does make me and others wonder if James is going back to how the original Batman comics in the 40s were where Gotham City was just a normal city that all of a sudden had all these criminals and Batman/Bruce was trying to save his city and people from. Originally the Batman comics took place in New York City before they changed the name to Gotham, so it really is supposed to be like New York. So many of the movies and shows, and current comics, have made Gotham so much worse than it was even in the original comics or the 60s Batman show and even BTAS, so can't help but wonder if this new Gotham for the DCU is just going to be like how over in the MCU we have our New York set of heroes and not all parts of the city are bad." Which considering not all parts of season 1 are canon (Peacemaker mentioning the Joker etc) I feel like this fits. Also rent has to be cheaper if crime is that high and they are both struggling right now. Also also Adrian is adorable and seems canonically asexual to me from that scene with him and Chris, which is just really cool to see. Adrian very clearly being jealous this whole episode is everything to me xD. His famous butt dance from season 1 ep 1 is back! Apparently James Gunn wrote that bit into the script which is just so adorable to me. Love the music in this show so much, I swear I add at least two songs to my spotify playlist every time I watch an episode!
