MVPs: The Machine, Root and Elias. The Machine broke my heart. It's such a simple moment and maybe my love for Carter makes me read too much into it but the fact that Reese sorta mentioned his "Carter encounter" to Elias but said "saw a friend" and not "my friend" was so cool because I absolutely love the Reese/Carter relationship but the Carter/Elias dynamic was so wonderful I headcannon Reese was very intentional and meant a mutual friend. "So how does it feel to know you're responsible for your friends death?" God, I love Elias. Also love he referenced he'd never give up "Harold the hacker." Fusco is sacred and I love how kinda like The Crossing he was being tortured, which I HATE, but I love he was very much sarcastic about it. Control was also rather awesome. As was Finch.

We all need our "compact Persian sociopath" back. And now that Root has caught a glimpse of Shaw... she'll never give up. Snapping Martine's neck was oh so satisfying though. Root's precarious ledge walk is one of my favorite scenes. She's been walking on a figurative ledge since she lost Shaw... about time she made the machine understand her reality.
