It's not easy moving on from POI Mondays. BUT this show makes me happy. The cast is fantastic and it's fun. With just enough depth. I don't own many series on dvd... but this is one of them.

It does make for a nice replacement in my mind and I know I have got through a bunch of episodes :)

The pilot exceptionally strong for a pilot, almost like a little movie. This episode had it's strong points and one liners, but falls a little short. I don't blame the doctor for being a skeptic but love our team.

And it's great to see Christian Kane's come into his own. He was good as Lindsey, but he really shines here as Eliot. (As do Parker and Hardison. )

As you were saying... the world can get you down. So for me, this series has a lasting appeal because it mostly operates on a fantastical level. And it's just so satisfying to sit back, enjoy the amusing team dynamics, and think... 'if only'.

One delightful thing about the DVDs is that every single episode can be watched with commentary, from the creators plus any cast and crew they could gather.

I'm thrilled to learn that this will be in regular rotation now. I need it in my life, and I need to feel that I'm watching it among a group of friends. I think the series maintained a very high level through its 5 seasons, on the whole. You're going to have a good time. And they gathered a good core cast. You already know your guy from Angel, there's Gina Bellman from the UK series Coupling, and Timothy Hutton remains the man who received an acting Academy Award at the youngest age. Speaking of young actor, Aldis Hodge was just 21 when he started playing Hardison, so most of his credits have come after Leverage, rather than before.

The show creators once mentioned that they would often pull out a newspaper to help in writing the situations for their clients and villains. In many ways this show can feel like a time capsule of their times. It always gives such a sense of satisfaction in seeing how the team manages to get justice even if the schemes themselves are unbelievable.

"Worse" is that they often had to tone down the Marks and situations to make it sound believable to the audience. There's an episode in season 3 that is based on something from near where I grew up that was so much worse in reality. Made for great TV but damn depressing
