The way I screamed the first time I saw Fusco getting shot. They've almost killed him too many times. Bye, Greer. He basically talked himself to death. TBH, if Finch had outright killed him that low key would've been great. "The lesson is s whoever looks at life like a game of chess deserves to lose"---Harold Finch. I love the "what ifs" were used to bring back some good people we lost along the way. You're so right about this show never getting the credit it deserves. It's bugged me for years as it's without question some of the best TV ever made, and while some shows age badly it's actually aged to be more in tune with current times. I hate how underrated it is.

I feel the same way about how Breaking Bad hasn't been getting many votes on your pilot poll. This is that taken to a whole show level. At least that show has the deserved very high acclaim. This one should too. I'd never even heard of it until you started reacting. Criminally underrated.

I'm really surprised Breaking Bad hasn't won yet given it's popularity. I rate POI higher (tbh I kinda liked BCS better than BB) than BB but it's stronghold in "best of" conversations can't be denied. I'm so glad you and Liam were able to find POI one way or another.

They originally wanted to visit alternate outcomes for a couple of other characters... like Kara Stanton. But not everyone was available. More importantly... what would've become of Bear?! This is the best timeline for Bear... and that's what really matters. I appreciate the little ways they have been portraying Shaw's grief for Root. Like seeing her sitting on Roots' bed in the subway. And looking at the "Sense & Sensibility" book. Which later connects us to Harold's password being Dashwood... the protagonists sisters of "Sense & Sensibility". The book he used to propose to Grace. (And I have always lowkey wondered if it was also possibly Harold's real last name. But that's just me.)

"Dashwood" is the name of the protagonists of Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility", which is the book Harold used to propose to Grace.

I'm so glad I was able to catch up before you posted the final episode! (Though you've probably already watched it by now.) One of my favourite little details in this episode? When he's talking to Greer, Finch still refers to The Machine as "it". But by the end, when he's talking to Samaritan (and notably after learning of the alternate future where Root is recruited by them), Finch switches to calling The Machine "her", just like Root always did. I also like how in several of the alternative timelines there's the implication that Samaritan still exists, but it's never stated outright until Root's alternate future. Like Peck theorizing about an ASI in Shaw's alternate future, and the mentions of homicides being down but missing persons being up in Fusco's, which also happened with Samaritan in the actual timeline.
