The geeky references in Leverage will always put a smile on your face. Mostly thanks to our man, Hardison. There is a bit of a broad connection to Doctor Who though... in that Gina Bellman starred in 2 Steven Moffat series, Coupling and Jekyll. (I love Jekyll.) And Dean Devlin (exec producer & director) is a big fan of Who. I remember him tweeting about the 2024 Christmas Special.

I always enjoy this episode (and I think I always forget how early in the series it occurs, playing so much with the format). However irate Nate was at Hardison, the job would never have worked without someone back in LA pulling all those strings for the rest of the team. Also I just love the saga of Hardison's day working at Genogrow: from maintenance man to chilling in the break room, to leading a meeting, to his birthday party, to getting fired. And all in 5 hours.

Gina was a riot in Coupling, I still watch it when I need a laugh.

Even when Hardison doesn't show up, he shows up and comes through. I just love him.

There will be a lot of geeky references with the aliases going forward. The logic behind it for the writers especially during the later episodes was that creating the identities is Hardison’s job and he entertains himself with coming up with names that reference some of his favorite things or the cons themselves.

I love your reaction to these! I love most of this episode, but the end drives me nuts because bridges are soooo not rated for planes and would collapse under the weight. The autistic side of me can’t stop complaining that they would be better off landing on water than a bridge full of cars.
