Angel Wedge

At the start, I wondered if you're in a new location… then reallised it just looks different because I couldn't see your big flag :p

Yeah it's getting a bit warmer now so stuff like doors open, fans on are getting to be the protocol again :')

Watching s2 was a bit weird at the time because many fan communities were dominated by speculation about how certain real world stuff would affect the story… Rewatching it now, I'm sure the writers deliberately played with that. But I guess you're watching without that layer; curious how much difference that will make.

Oh Fusco, gotta get back to New York. Hardison buying the building is the ultimate troll move and I love that about him.

It's absolutely delightful how the team actually managed to manipulate their mastermind here. They knew that the more he understood about what was going on the more interested he'd be, and they ran with it. I love this alias of Sophie's so very much. Nate stopped drinking and moved in above a bar. Eliot is right, that is both extremely Catholic and an absolutely terrible plan (we all remember 12-Step and Nate's "maybe I'm a bigger bastard when I'm sober?" line, y/y?) When I watched this originally, I took that scene in front of the safe deposit boxes to be Parker making it clear that she *is* interested in Hardison, but moving past where they are right now requires tools and bravery she doesn't have yet. Production moved to Portland, Oregon this season which is why it looks so different. It was a very good decision for the show imo: very pretty location, budgets stretch further (the cgi on that car crash while obviously cgi was a lot cleaner than anything from the previous year), local talent, etc, etc. Doesn't look like Boston to me but eh. Regardless, the team has moved to where Nate grew up and he's already being recognized by criminals on day one. Hello Kevin Chapman! This was two years pre-POI and here he is playing the *other* profession his characters tend to be when they're not cops, which is "mob guy". And the late Robert Blanche played Lt. Bonanno. Not sure what it was about him that screamed 'Cop and/or Military" to casting folks but it seems like every thing I ever saw him in he was an official of some sort. Typecasting is a bizarre phenomenon. The show is sometimes a bit obvious about explaining things for a reason. From the co-creator's blog, about this episode: "Testing indicates -- and I'm not kidding -- that about 30% of our audience never understands the con at all. Doesn't stop them from enjoying the show, but particularly for a "second pilot", better safe than sorry."
