Several years ago, there was a news story about a food company where a few of their prepared meals had a risk of bacteria, just like in this episode. And one of the people involved with the company basically gave exactly the same excuse as Casten did - that if the meal was heated to the proper temperature, it would kill any bacteria. I think about that every time I watch this episode...
