Lots of fun theories about Emily :D Somehow I never considered ghosts (though I did wonder if one of Rambaldi's friends might have some kind of machine to create zombies…) Maybe it's just someone messing with Sloane; trying to keep him off balance. One of the other alliance guys testing him? Or Jack running his own psy-ops side-mission for some reason?

I’m on the side of wanting Emily’s death to not have happened and she’s trolling him

I would love that; but can't see her as a troll. The first couple of episodes, I was hoping that Sloane faked her death, maybe marking the start of some long, elaborate redemption arc for him. Now that seems less likely; unless someone who knows the truth is trolling him. You made a good case for the ghost theory, though. It's no more crazy than the Rambaldi stuff would have seemed a year earlier. But I think if that's the case, someone is probably using her, because I can't imagine her being that cruel. (of course, Jack would have thought the same about his wife unyil he knew the truth… so we'll have to wait and see)
