Well the reason Stolas remained in the marriage was not for a sense of responsibility toward Stella but as he said himself "for that girl (Via) to have a normal life", se everything Stolas does, he does it for his doughter. Him choosing to have this affair with Blitz is the very first "selfish" thing he has ever made probably ever in his life. And Blitz of course was there for the Grimoire and when Stolas opens with the heavy flirt he goes with it (and we know that he learn at a very young age that he has to steal to provide for his family, his father manipulate him using Blitz’s sense of responsibility against him "don't you wanna help me and your mama?). Season 2 is amazing, it becomes better and better you'll see! P.S. What you have to see in order is the song video "Look my way", witch is between episode 2x07 and 2x08. The shorts you can see all of them after s2, because some of them are set between 2x09 and 2x10 and others are post s2, but they all are mild canon so it's easier watch them all after

Wooo Season 2!! I know you're going to LOVE this season! Oh! Something I forgot to point out in episode 8. When Bee says she "can taste the flavor of people at her parties" she means that literally. She has a similar ability to Ren from RWBY. But instead of seeing feelings as petals. She can taste them. Thats why when she looked at Blitz after the drinking contest she made that face. She could taste his "sour" mood. Helps keep tabs on the people at her parties and its a cool ability to give the embodiment of gluttony. Fun fact about Blitz and Stolas' terrible dads. They're both voiced by the same actor. The va that played Jafar in both the animated and Broadway version of Aladdin! Jonathan Freeman! It bothered me so much when I heard him in this episode and could not mentally place his voice but knowing I knew it from somewhere 😆. But I love seeing the guys as kids. They're all so adorable. Its just so sad they ended up with such terrible dads that put them in these situations. Its implied by some of the things Stella says when she's degrading Stolas. But to add another layer to how horrible his situation is. He's canonically homosexual. Not only was he never in love with Stella, he's not even attracted to women. Like you said, he literally only was staying for Via. His childhood was awful but he wanted to at least try to give her a somewhat better childhood than he had. I cannot wait until you get to the next episode. Its a fun one. ❤
