Yoooo you're finally checking out 2nd generation Kpop! I hope you that you check out some other older Kpop groups because I feel like Kpop had more of a distinct sound back then (but maybe I'm biased cause groups like BigBang got me into Kpop). Also, I feel your pain about no English subs because Kpop wasn't as global back then as it is now. Not sure if you're planning to check out more BigBang, but I'll give you a quick rundown (maybe an essay) on the members. 16:49 - His name is G-Dragon. He is one of the most famous Kpop idols out there and hugely respected by many artists. He is a big fashion icon and had the biggest album drop in 2025 in Kpop. His song Home Sweet Home was huge in Korea. 17:49 - You already know his name, Daesung. And you've already seen that he's still very active and has an interview channel with a lot of Kpop idols. He's the most popular member in Japan as he was the first Korean artist to have 100K fans for his Japanese solo concerts. 18:11 - That's Taeyang. He's considered one of the best vocalists in Kpop, and his song "Eyes, Nose, Lips" was one of the most popular Kpop songs in 2014 (it's always popular song among male kpop idols to cover). He's the one member that's married, and he's married to South Korean actress Min Hyo-rin. 18:35 - That's T.O.P. He was the other rapper in the group and is also an actor (he played Thanos in Squid Game 2). He was really popular, but in 2017, he got caught smoking weed (while it's super chill in the West to smoke weed, South Korea hates it and thinks it's the devil's lettuce). So, his reputation was in the gutter, and he left BigBang back in 2023. 19:02 - And the worst member...Seungri. He was the most entertaining member in terms of variety content, and he used to be a huge businessman, especially in the club business. But back in 2019, there was a huge scandal surrounding a nightclub he owned called Burning Sun (I would recommend watching the BBC documentary about it), and since he was a central figure of the scandal, he was convicted of prostitution mediation and embezzlement (it's so sick and twisted like Diddy-level of sickening). So he left BigBang in 2019 and retired from the entertainment industry.
