Yay u back . Cortis new vlog is funny lol. Also yes it is the movie u are thinking of that is coming out next month GOAT. And Cortis new song called MENTION ME is gonna be in the movie. The movie is gonna be out on February 13th but Cortis NBA performance is gonna be on the 12, so is most likely that they are going to perform there the new song. Since the song is in a movie that has to do with basketball and I think they were invited to perform on NBA bcs their song is gonna be in the movie. I’m so excited

Does anybody know if the soundtrack is gonna be released the same day the movie will be out or before then? Cause if it's released the same day as the movie, then that would be AFTER the NBA performance, so there's a chance that we might not hear it then? But I could be totally wrong. Also, the 'MENTION ME' song is going to be a high energy track according to one of the producers Krupa. Gino the Ghost, one of the producers for 'FaSHioN,' also helped write the track and tagged Swae Lee and Jeremih as co-writers for the track. Get hyped for the song cause if Swae Lee helped with the track, then it might be a banger like the 'Sunflower' song from the Spider Verse movie.

Also about your family's reaction to you getting your ears pierced and your fear of having your nails painted, I totally understand where you're coming from. I think Asian and African families especially tend to be disapproving of stuff done outside of the gender stereotypes, which is definitely rooted in their cultures and upbringing. I remember when I got my first tattoo my parents were definitely not thrilled about it (I'm South Asian for context), but they warmed up to it and so did the rest of my family although some people outside of my family definitely give me the side-eye. I'm sure there were people in CORTIS' lives that probably weren't too thrilled about the stuff they were doing, but in the end, it is your life and your body. It's just takes a lot of will and confidence in yourself to ignore the comments from others and do what you like and want to do. It's a process for sure, but hopefully one day, you will feel comfortable in trying things you want to do without taking others' comments to heart!

"MENTION ME" is part of the GOAT movie soundtrack album, which means that the team behind the movie is in charge of when the songs in the album get released, not CORTIS and their team. So, there is a chance that CORTIS' song won't be officially released until the movie is released which is the 13th aka the day after their NBA performance on the 12th. Which is why I said that there is a chance the song won't be performed at the NBA event. However, there is a chance the song will be released before the NBA event because movie teams sometimes will release certain songs from the soundtrack before the movie's release to get the audience hyped for the movie. An example would be 'Sunflower' by Swae Lee & Post Malone being released weeks before the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie because it was the title track of the movie soundtrack album that brought in a lot of hype and interest in the movie. Typically, the title track of any album is either the first or second song, but if you saw the tracklist for the GOAT movie soundtrack, 'MENTION ME' by CORTIS is the 14th track out of 17 songs on the album. Based off the order of the tracklist, 'I'm Good' by Jelly Roll seems to be the title track for the movie, and since Jelly Roll is voice-acting for the movie, his song will probably be the pre-release song that brings the hype for the movie. You’re right about those kind of things being more okay in korea. Especially among celebrities. They see it as fashion or fashion items. Korea also big on skin care. Girls over here also tend to like when guys take care of themselves. Also when idols goes on stage there are super harsh lightings thats why there is this thing called stage make up. And sometimes its done to fit to the concepts. You saw those dark concept mama performances, make up adds to the edgy concept. Actors do it too because apparently the lights on sets are so much that you can see their veins on their faces. The stage make up thing is common in other countries too. Anyway thats why we can see male celebrities talk about nails and stuff comfortably. Edit: btw they look pretty much the same with or without make up so 😅

Also i watched your enhypen tiktoks reaction and there was a tiktok saying sunoo got hate for being fat and you asked if sunoo was ever fat in his career and said you never saw it. I want to talk a bit about this. Its not that sunoo was ever fat, its just that korea has super high beauty standards. They see an avarage weight looking idol and call him fat. Sunoo has chubby cheeks so knetz (knetz:korean people online) tell him to lose weight or say he looks fat. Tbh its so crazy to the point some idols cant deal with the pressure and made extreme choices in the past. Many idols talked about how they dont eat during music show promotion period (after an album release they do 2-3 week promotions on TV music shows:music bank, inkigayo,..). I remember yeonjun talking about how he stopped eating the day before a tv performance, and he even said he stopped drinking water 4-5 hours before the performance so that he wont look chubby. They’re expected to look their best. Knetz even call idols with big muscles fat. They say it looks fat. I see idols like athletes, they dance 8-9 hours a day and during concerts they dance 2-3 hour straight per performance for months. Most idols have low body fat and a lot of muscle thats why they all have abs. I remember in a variety show an idol group measured their body fat and it was like super low. And they were like 5’11 on average and 57kg average which is like underweight for a male that height. Many fans say, you know how we see idols eat a lot during variety shows and stuff, its because they dont eat like that normally so when they have the chance they eat like that during shows. And i remember an idol talking about after a trip variety show where they ate so much, he will diet when he goes back to the work.

Oh okay I understand now but personally saying I think we gonna have the performance for the mention me in the NBA show since it looks like they were invited bcs of the fact they have one song in the movie. Maybe we gonna get the song before that or maybe I see they jsut performing it even without being released since the movie and the song is gonna be seen and heard one day after anyways

I saw somewhere (on sonys instagram?) that there will be a premiere on feb 7th or 8th so maybe they’ll release the soundtrack before the movie releases on the 13th? If not, maybe they got cleared to perform it for the performance on the 12th 🤷🏾‍♀️ who knows we truly just have to wait 😭
