-For artists outside of Japan, Tokyo Dome is one of the biggest achievements since it is the most well-known live concert venue you can book in Japan (there are bigger venues like Daesung mentioned but none are as famous as Tokyo Dome since it used to host concerts for huge icons like MJ). For Japanese artists, the Tokyo Dome is a huge milestone but many consider performing at the Budoukan to be more significant culturally as it is known as an invitation-only venue (i.e you only get to perform there if you are invited). It's like the Japanese version of Madison Square, if that makes any sense -I played Gartic Phone a few times and it's so painful as someone who sucks at drawing, barely anyone understood what I drew lmao -Daesung is just generally very well-liked by people because of his down-to-earth personality despite his fame.
