Its such a coincidence that you asked if guys and girls can be friends at the end because juhoon got into trouble about his opinion on this on twitter/x recently. I dont follow twitter dramas closely so i dont know what really happened so if someone knows better they can explain but i saw people fighting about this. People were arguing about his opinion or posting his photos with girl models from his child model days. Idk what happened but yeah it caused a chaos on twitter that even i saw it. Btw its probably nothing important

Oh wow I didn't even know that this was an issue, but I guess to give Senior context, Juhoon posted a Weverse moment with a cat, calling it his friend, and one fan asked if he could be friends with them to which he responded that he finds it difficult to be friends with girls. And then I believe during a live with Keonho recently, he said that he doesn't have friends that are girls. I agree with you that it's nothing important because it shouldn't be a issue that he doesn't have female friends. It's natural to be able to get along with people of the same gender as you, and considering how many of his former classmates and coaches talked about his dedication to school and sports, I doubt he was intentionally trying not to be friends with girls. I think the photos with the girl models is not a valid argument because you can work with someone as a model but not actually become friends with them? I think those fans are overreacting because he can clearly interact with his fans and girls just fine; plus most teenage boys tend to have mostly male friends.

Thank you for explaining. I agree the photos are definitely not a valid argument in this context idk why everyone was fighting under it 😂 I use my twitter in korean (im half korean) and those tweets were in korean maybe thats why you didnt see it but korean side of the fandom turned this into an issue saying things along the lines of ‘he must be an old fashioned person’ or idk how to explain that word but making it seem like he was one of those kind of guys in korea. They even twisted his words and said he doesnt see girls as a person (i honestly dont know how to explain this either but the meaning is like he cant look beyond the title of ‘girl’ and see them as human before that) and thats when i stopped reading, i was like shocked. At least the tweet i saw was like this and it had like 5k likes. Idk if you follow Shinee but now that i think about this i remembered taemin got into a same kind of trouble when he said he doesnt think girls and guys can be friends. And Key was like “I strongly disagree i can even shower with taeyeon” (taeyeon is from the group Girls’ Generation and he and her are close friends for decades) so knetz were criticizing taemin calling him old-minded. (I dont remember exactly what Key said but it was something like this he was like ‘i could bath with taeyeon thats how close friends we are’ in a joking way) Btw senior i want to say that both of these groups are from 2nd gen and back then idols were interacting more freely. We had many interactions at concerts and TV. It was normal seeing a female and male idol who’re friends, hugging at award shows. Now idols cant even look at each other without getting dating allegations
