I don't follow Enhypen or their content, but I want to say that my heart is with you Senior and all the Engenes following this news. The sudden departure of a treasured member of your favorite group is not something that is easy to hear, and it's even more heartbreaking when you see the other members fighting back tears during fancalls literally the day after the news dropped. I know that there are many theories about the reason behind his departure, but I would advise many of you to not think too much into this as you probably will not know the real reason for a VERY long time due to legal reasons (so please prioritize your mental and emotional health first in this situation by avoiding these conspiracies).

As for the group formation thing I mentioned, yeah odd numbers usually work better for choreography. But it also seems like 6-member groups at HYBE end up ā€œcursedā€ (usually losing a member and becoming 5). For example: KATSEYE, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, and NewJeans I'm just worried for how this will effect Enhypen's longevity, I can't imagine them as 6 šŸ˜­

I don't think it's to do with anything heeseungs done or any problems with his members I just think he got sick of waiting for his solo debut you have to remember that in 3 years time he needs to start thinking about his military service and if he was to wait for contract renewal there's no guarantee they let him release a solo then either but by then its maybe to late before he enlists i don't think they give them anytime for there own dreams and ambitions because of their non stop schedules he was given a chance and he took it I respect his bravery to not let anyone ruin his ambition I personally don't think this is sudden of coarse he's not going to say to any fans about what's happening it would cause chaos he's just ready to do heeseung and I don't blame him I wish him all the success in the world and know he will ace anything he does also I agree that his first choice was too stay in the group but I feel he was backed into a corner the difference between other idols having solos and staying in the group is they are not under belift they all will have different policies for their groups and he's also still in contract with them so would face penalties if he completely left as I said before heeseung is my first and forever idol and I will stand with him whatever he does (sorry for the long read šŸ¤­)

It was just like a different kind of situation so NCT has different units and specifically back then for their NCT dream unit, which was the youngest unit they had like a graduation system so like when you turn 20 years old, you would leave the unit and go to a new unit and Mark their leader was the first person to kind of go through the system, but all the fans had gotten used to him and loved him and didnā€™t want him to leave and go to a new unit and basically people protested and just like now they boycotted it and we were able to keep him in the group and end the system so NCT dream just became a fixed unit.

A few days after that, he went on hiatus, and he stayed on hiatus for a really long time almost a year. Nobody really knew what was going to happen to him, so everyone was just waiting to see if he would come back. Eventually it was announced that he would return, and a lot of people were excited. But many Korean fans were really upset because of the parasocial expectations around idols, and they didnā€™t like that he had dated someone before. Because of that, they sent a huge number of funeral wreaths, around 50 to 100, to the front of the SM Entertainment building. In Korean culture those wreaths are usually used for mourning, so sending them like that was basically a way to show extreme negativity and demand that he be removed from the group. It was honestly really sad, because when he walked outside he could literally see all those wreaths lined up in front of the building. Thereā€™s even a video of him just standing there and looking at them while realizing how much hate he was getting. The worst part is that he had only been back in the group for about two days before it was suddenly announced that he was leaving the group. Everything turned into chaos after that. It was honestly one of the saddest situations Iā€™ve seen in K-pop. Because so many international fans still supported him and wanted him back, the company decided to keep him as a solo artist under SM Entertainment instead of removing him completely. But he never got added back into RIIZE. A lot of fans even started boycotting the group because of how everything was handled. In terms of this whole situation, I honestly think and this is just my theory that Heeseung really wanted to pursue a solo career. It seems like the company may have been telling him that he couldnā€™t do a solo career while still being in the group because he had too many commitments to them. So they might have given him an offer like: if you want to release solo work, you would have to do it on your own and leave the group. Because Heeseung has been working on music for years and has been really eager to share it, I think he felt like he had to take that opportunity when it came. I donā€™t think he was being selfish at all. Even in his letter he said he would continue to support ENHYPEN, which shows that he still cares about the group and the members. I also think he understood that there was a lot of uncertainty with the contracts and the future of the group. Even the members of ENHYPEN said they were trying their best, but it wasnā€™t a definite ā€œyes, weā€™re coming back together.ā€ It sounded very unsure. Because of that, it seems like the contract situation was always going to be messy, and no one really knew what was going to happen.

Hello senior, the past two days have been awful, i barely managed to watch this video and i havent been able to finish ep 11 of iland with you because i remember heeseung feeling imperfect in that episode. While this news has shook us all and we are all beyond angry, its all rational and we wouldnt be in such an uproar if this was an understandable decision and if we thought this was heeseungs own decision. there are many things that have happened since you recorded this video, such as: the petition has reached over one million signatures the whole topic is trending very largely on twitter, with over 10 million posts about it, with many tags trending to bring heeseung back so he can stay with his brothers and do his solo project while stilling being with us. many protest trucks have been bought and sent out to the hybe building, surroundung them with the messages about bringing heeseung back, with his face on the trucks and highway 1009 blasting out of some of the trucks. korean engenes have asked the police and have gotten the okay to be able to hold a protest outside of thw hybe building, this will be occuring tomorrow. Enhypen had a fan call today, only 6 of them, heeseungs fan call has been postponed. Senior, I know you mainly stan a few groups, but I just wanted to say that this week honestly this whole month has not been good for K-pop. Especially when it comes to HYBE and the groups connected to it. Iā€™m sure you remember KATSEYE. One of their members, Manon, recently went on hiatus, and people are speculating that she might be leaving the group. Sheā€™s been dealing with a lot of racism and conflict online, and even one of the other memberā€™s dads has been saying some really wild things about her, which made the situation even worse. Also, a member of NewJeans was removed from the group, which shocked a lot of fans. And with JYP Entertainment, I donā€™t know if you remember the guy performing with Jay J.Y. Park that you said had a really interesting singing style. Heā€™s stepping down from his position in the company, which is a huge deal because the company is literally named after him. Then thereā€™s Zerobaseone. You might not have heard of them, but theyā€™re really popular. They were always meant to be a temporary group, and now itā€™s been announced that theyā€™re basically splitting up. I personally really liked them, so Iā€™m super sad about it because it means a lot of the members wonā€™t be together anymore. Overall, this whole month has just been really rough for K-pop fans.

i will try my best to keep watching enhypen content even though its a struggle, enhypen is already paranoid of losing fans, theyve always said theyre scared to lose us. it wouldnt be helpful to the enhypen members, it would just make them feel worse than they already feel. showing support to heeseung and ot7 content will be better to go against belift.

i think people are being very dramatic and arent respecting heeseungs decision, yes its sad and everyone processes things differently but calling for a boycott of the remaining members who are completely innocent in this will only harm the group and make it easier to disband them completely.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but I really think people should wait until more information comes out before jumping to conclusions. It seems like a lot of people are so sure about their theories without actually considering how he might feel. The truth is, none of us genuinely know whatā€™s going on behind the scenes, and all this chaos online really isnā€™t helping the situation. And again, we donā€™t know these people. Unfortunately, no matter how much he has said he wants the group to stay together or how positive he seems on camera, you have to remember that he is on camera. Heā€™s an idol, and idols have an image to maintain. Of course heā€™s going to stay positive and avoid saying anything that could hint at him leaving. The reality is that we donā€™t know how he truly felt behind the scenes. Fans only see whatā€™s presented publicly. Just look at how many idols from different groups have ended up getting arrested or removed from their groups because of things people never expected. For example, when Taeil from NCT was removed, a lot of people were shocked. He always came across as really sweet, quiet, and kind, with a very soft image. Turns out he was a monster behind the mask doing all kinds of stuff to women. Situations like that remind people that public personas donā€™t always show the full reality. Now obviously this situation is completely different, but the point is that fans donā€™t actually know whatā€™s happening privately. Until more information comes out, itā€™s probably better not to treat theories as if theyā€™re confirmed facts.

i rlly dont think so. its obvious heeseung is being erased from the picture. if this rlly was his decision why would they simply say hes gone and not say anything again. Things in my mind keep piling up. Disclaimer: No matter what. I'll be supporting all 7, whether that's together or on different journeys. So first thing is in Heeseungs letter he said: According to the direction the company suggested. Why would they suggest he leave the group instead of letting him do solo stuff, while still being in Enha? Does it benefit them? Because if it doesn't, then that makes even less sense. Anyways if that's what he wanted, I still don't get why he can't meet engenes? (All 7 of them already had a scheduled fan call event, where they all were suppose to be present but they announced that calls with Heeseung had been postponed. Not canceled but postponed) Plus why not let the rest of the group or fans even mention him? (If anyone said anything, staff would cut the call) Anyways, what gets more confusing is this. Wouldn't Enhypen World not have posted a preview of merch on the same day they announced Heeseung was going to drop out if they have know for awhile that he was leaving like they claimed? Because 4 hours after the preview post of the merch coming soon they said: originally scheduled to open at 5 PM today, has been inevitably changed. Also why pay/book heeseung's flight to Australia just to cancel it, but after the leaving announcement? Doesn't sound very planned out to me. Now they're postponing Enoclock that they always film in advance? They've only released 3 episodes of the new season and teased more episodes to come so why would they?? They already spent money and used resources for the episodes they have so idk why they're holding them? Hee is still in the same company so why hide him??? Also if it was planned wouldn't there be episodes filmed without him as Enoclock is filmed months prior. What really ticks me is them saying "We will return with even better content in April" so are they just scraping all the episodes they had ready, to make new ones without Hee? I know we don't know the full story but since when does someone depart from a group without a proper goodbye? No prior announcement, No final schedule, No last live for the fans? It feels like everything is so rushed. If it's really for a solo, the timing makes no sense. They literally have 1 year left, there's no logical reason to leave now. Like it's just sus to me and I can't wrap my head around it. I could keep going but yet i think ive made the points i want to make. its all weird and suspicious and i dont blame anyone for being loud about this and protesting it because theres more chance its not his decision than it being his decision. nobody wants to regret being quiet and moving on if it does come to light thag something really did happen.

i do apologise but thinking this was heeseungs decision and it had nothing to do with belift is genuinely crazy to me. weve seen what theyve done through the years. they wouldnā€™t be cropping him out of group photos & taking a month to edit him out of content if it was a mutual agreement for him to go solo. thereā€™s absolutely something going on that they arenā€™t telling us. if this was mutual and heartwarming there would be a better way of showing it and they know it. theres a reason for all of this, being naive about it is just stupid. It will be a long message but at this point i want to collect all my thoughts and just share them with yaā€™ll You can just agree or disagree with me I get what some people saying, and yeah, we donā€™t know everything thatā€™s going on behind the scenes. But this whole situation just feels off. Itā€™s not about disrespecting Heeseung itā€™s more about how suddenly and chaotically everything is being handled. Belift even said in a today Billboard interview that it was their decision, that they thought this was best for him and the group. That alone makes it clear this wasnā€™t just what only Heeseung wanted for a long time If they had really been planning his departure for months as they said in their letter, why did they even start to post the new season of en-oā€™clock? They could have postponed it maybe for example, since the promotion wasnā€™t even over yet, but no, they released it, released previews for at least FOUR more episodes with Heeseung, and now everything is suddenly canceled today. You can even see from Ni-kiā€™s hairstyle that these episodes were filmed very recently during Knife era. And not only that, but Jake also said in the interview today, that because of the sudden change in the formation they have to practice a lot for their upcoming performance. So its just shows that nothing was planned in advance at all, and belift just constantly lying to our faces and basically restricting not just the members but even the fans from not just talking about but even mentioning Heeseung, as we saw during their recent fan call. Plus, thereā€™s literally about a year left before contract renewals. If he really wanted to focus on solo stuff, why not just wait a little longer? Like do you really believe that he just decided to leave so randomly and at such a terrible timing to go solo..? And donā€™t even get me started on the Australia trip youā€™re telling me he chose to leave now, right before they go to Melbourne, a trip that not only Jake but all the members were super excited about and looking forward to for all these 5 and a half years? Itā€™s completely disrespectful, chaotic, and makes it feel like they treated years of work, friendships, and fan support as something disposable. These members arenā€™t just coworkers, as non fans and only casual listeners of Enhypen music can tell, as an enhypen fan who literally stanning only enhypen for these last 5 years and watching every single day their content since their debut I can tell that theyā€™re close friends actually brothers who went through one of the toughest survival shows together. Theyā€™ve shared so much, both on and off camera. For example, even before iland a lot of the members were already close to that point that Heeseung and Jay once stayed together in a five-star hotel during a trip, and Jay paid for both of them while they were still trainees. Its just shows how tight their bond is. After everything theyā€™ve built and the years of friendship, itā€™s really hard to believe he could just leave like this with nothing more than a letter that was probably written under a lot of pressure If all this hadnā€™t been so chaotic, if there had been any real signs or preparations for his departure, we wouldnā€™t be seeing all this reactions and a lot of hurt and shock from fans, many of whom have followed the group for over five years. So fans are just trying to push for a fair chance for him to do both without having to leave enhypen completely like this shtty company suggested. Of course, if in the future we find out that it truly was his decision, I will support him no matter what. But for now, seeing how everything has played out, we canā€™t just sit back and accept it as if nothing happened and as if all those five years together never mattered. i do think the best approach rn is to continue to support enhypen including heeseung. jungwon said in a fan call today that he wants us to support him and stay with him and we have to remember as much as this hurts us right now, we are not them. this is their reality rn and despite them having to put on a brave face, what they want from the bottom of their hearts is for our love and support. that being said, we also cannot take any information at face value right now as things are still unclear and a lot is hidden from us behind the scenes and we also donā€™t know how long itā€™ll take for real clarity to come from this situation. we have to be there for heeseung and not give up on him and for the other members bc we know damn well belift wonā€™t. donā€™t give up on any of the 7 members, they need us.

the fact no one has seen any glimpse or sign of heeseung since the announcement is just so scary to me. i really wish hes well, wishfully thinking that hes with family rn but im not even sure.

This whole situaton is just heartbreaking but engenes are a strong and big fandom and we will do anything to bring him back or atleast get a real statement from him. We will not let it end like this. Also I can totally understand if you dont feel ready to react to I-Land or enhypen content in general so please take ur time. I couldnt even listen to enhypens songs the last days without starting to cry but the best thing to do rn is to support the boys until Heeseung comes back whether he comes back to Enhypen or we will get a update from him in general. I canā€˜t even imagine how to boys feel rn and they have to perform at a festival in Australia in two days for the first time as Ot6 and all that in Jakes homecountryā€¦ā€¦
