Nct wish are a group under SM (the same company as RIIZE and one of the big 3 companies). The group has a total of about 25-ish members but split up into sub units kinda similar to SVT having 3 sub units within one group, so nct wish is one of the 4 sub units. The NCT group lore is super crazy and lowkey kinda traumatic as a NCTzen myself (NCTzen or Cezenie is their fandom name) but I can fill you up on the lore if you really want it cuz there is A LOT of messed up shit that has been happening in NCT. But yeah, NCT is one of the most established 3rd gen boy groups and are very popular globally and not just in Korea (but the population also kinda depends on which sub unit you're in). I don't know if you peeped the name but Sakuya (the one with the white hair) was actually the one who gifted Cortis with the toy sword that James is obsessed about on Minju's Pink Cabinet.

yh yushi is very very shy 😭😭, its like a celebration when he talks alot. sakuya is quite outgoing, hes the maknae but ryo and him are the same age (2007) i love them all so much. you should check out some music and such. their first full album was rlly rlly good too. they debuted in 2024 and im sure there was alot of pressure since NCT is already such a popular group and there was big shoes to fill in but theyre doing rlly well in showing their talents. ty for the video senior ❤️❤️

19:18 those 2 you mentioned are the only koreans in this group. Nct wish is like a japanese unit of nct. Most of the members are japanese Edit: i think names make it obvious as well. Riku, yushi, sakuya, ryo are japanese names and it sounds japanese. Like niki shotaro moka maki sakura kazuha… when you hear it, it sounds japanese.

wait i love that you reacted to this omg,, it was probably for daesung lol but NCT are hilarious,, ik you’re alr reacting to a bunch of other groups rn and your plate is kind of full, but in the future if you ever get a chance i’d definitely recommend checking nct out !! it’s a large group w so many people split up into sub units so that would be a long journey (and understandably a turn off on stanning them lol) but i swear they’re so funny, like their funny moments videos are such a core kpop experience bcs they’re always going viral for being so dumb (endearingly) 😭 Their music is very hit or miss, depending on how experimental you like your music to be (the song sticker by nct127 became a meme bcs of how bizzare it is😭) but they’re are alot of bangers that you’d really like (esp since you like the cortis sound), but anyway the group is alot w all those members and you’re only just getting into kpop so this is kind of just like a recommendation for if you’re ever bored and wanna check them out someday 😋!

just double-checked the amount of members they have and the number is 24 currently (genuinely insane😭) there’s 4 sub units NCT 127 (7 members, debuted in 2016), NCT Dream (6 members, debuted in 2016), NCT wish (6 members, debuted 2023) and Wayv (the chinese subunit, technically 6 but only 5 of them are active rn, debuted 2019), NCT DoJaeJung (3 members, that are also part of nct127, they debuted in 2023 and have only one mini album and aren’t active bcs they’re all in the military rn💔), and the newest one NCT JNJM (2 members from NCT dream)—it gets a bit more confusing when you bring up the subunit NCT U which is technically the first NCT group to debut in 2016 but the point of it is that it’s a rotational sub unit so they just mix&match throw whatever members fit the comebacks the best,, It’s alot of info to take in but they do have fans that make really good guides that explain it way better than i can lol anyway just again this is not rlly a request bcs it’s understandably alot and kind of an insane concept, but just a little info dump for if you’re ever bored and want to know a new group 😋🙏

That sounds so exhausting. I really hope they're being treated well because I really don't need any more bad news about NCT and we all know how SM likes covering up rumours about their artists (it often ends with ppl leaving their groups/company). But I really do hope that the Wishies are doing well and are healthy ☹️

yh me too, i hope they are okay, especially after rikus hiatus and jaehee seems abit hurt on stage recently too. save everyone from sm 😭😭😭😭😭
