Ciao amici buon week end!

Bacioni e buon week end

Simona

Hello friends, have a great weekend!

I'm taking you to Liguria for a couple of days to do a little urbex.

I chose a warm day, and the sea certainly allows me to stay in my N-urbex urbex outfit for a few hours.

An abandoned structure that, after careful research, gave me a better understanding of its history. But above all, every time I entered a room, I was able to capture the feelings and moods of the people who lived there over the years. First as a home (though given the structure's condition, that seems unlikely) and later as a residence for people with disabilities, until it became a hostel with 300 beds.

A magnificent view beyond the overgrown vegetation; rooms now inhabited mostly by cats, including their food bowls and beds, and by those who occasionally peek in to see what was once inside.

In my opinion, some writers have tried to beautify some of the now rotten and decrepit walls (and I even managed to contact one of these writers!), but it remains a place full of history and, in my opinion, also of suffering, especially that of the owners' son, who was unable to restore a structure that had great hospitality potential.

Anyway, I hope it's a wonderful trip for you and that it leaves you with some emotions.

GREAT CUCKOO, the integral part of the opening will be available for you tomorrow evening (Sunday, February 8th).

Kisses and have a good weekend.

Simona

Congratulations Simona! I love your Naked Urbex investigations so much! Everything you produce is good but Naked Urbex is first class and the best... you are a brilliant explorer of these abandoned places which become chaotic, graffiti covered, dirty, damaged and unloved... they are a reminder of what everywhere could become if we as human beings are not careful... I eagerly await part two and I am so pleased to be a member of this special community that your efforts have created... thank you Simona for all that you do!❤️✨️😘

Hi Cosmic, first of all, thank you, and I'm glad Naked Urbex is one of your favorite posts. It's not always easy to stimulate and amaze with new ideas, but I find that describing abandoned places is fascinating and leaves room for imagination and a history that we often don't know. You're right in saying that it helps us understand how important it is to take care of our belongings and preserve our history so as not to be forgotten. I admit I'd love to discover some place no one's ever stumbled upon, but it's becoming difficult to find; entering abandoned places always requires caution, but also asking permission from those who once inhabited them. Respect for what isn't ours and respect for others; I hope that through my stories, all of this will come to light. So, let's keep on telling the stories :-)
