A month late but we're back and rolling, and we welcome resident anime expert Jacob Chapman to help us understand what the hell you made us just watch. We totally got this out late for medical reasons (we have a note!) and not because we dragged out feet to this, and yes we will get the other bonus episode out this month.

I actually still have my Soundtrack CD for flcl around. Loved it back in the day (circa 2002ish). Wonder what I'd think of it these days, it's been a while since I gave it a play.

Even though Todd and Lina didn't really like it or get much out of it, I still thought this was an interesting discussion, this one felt a lot different to the Cowboy Bebop episode to me. I mean for what it's worth, anime haters, FLCL feels like the last music themed anime that could even win the poll, I can't think of anything else that could still be competitive.

If I'm being honest, even though he didn't enjoy it, Todd sounded way more invested in this than he was in Cowboy Bebop. You can tell that he has more of a handle on anime at this point.

LL and LLS are two out of maybe 10 anime I’ve ever watched so I could at least appreciate that lol. Though tbf I’m counting all the Lupins as one because I’ve seen 5 of the series and many of the specials. Speaking of which, the way Jacob pronounces Lupin bothers me

Passing by this post this morning I realized that, if you like the songs by The Pillows in this show, you will like the show even when it doesn't make a damn bit of sense. And if you don't like the songs, you'll never like the show even if you understand all the references to other anime and manga in it.
