An important (and long overdue) update! (Patreon)
Content
Hey there! It’s been a while since we’ve really talked about the state of PothosDark and our Patreon.
Things have been pretty quiet lately, mostly because September hit both of us pretty hard in different ways. One of us was starting treatment for braces while also being ill for most of the month, and the other was in the middle of moving to a new place and dealing with everything that comes with that.
October hasn’t exactly brought us back to normal yet, but we remain committed to everything we’ve already promised. Patreon releases, paid commissions, and our other existing obligations are still on schedule.
I’m especially proud that we’ve delivered every commission on time so far, and we fully intend to keep that streak going. Should any delays occur, you’ll be kept informed, and refunds will of course be available where appropriate.
That said, there is one major change I need to share:
PothosDark is now a one-person project.
We felt this was the decision that made the most sense for both of us and our well-being. Going forward, I (Mirage) will be taking over the day-to-day running of PothosDark and continuing its work on my own.
Naturally, that means PothosDark is going to have to change a little too. I may need to take on fewer commissions, pare back certain things, and focus more on making my workflow sustainable and efficient without sacrificing the quality you all come here for.
I don’t know exactly what PothosDark will look like a few months from now. I’m still figuring that out. But I do know that I want to keep making work I’m proud of, keep treating the people who support PothosDark well, and keep delivering the kind of art y’all have come to expect.
We are both really grateful for all your support, especially during this time. 💚
