(NSFW) Figure Drawing Thursdays returns! (Patreon)

I missed our Thursday night drawing sessions! Michael's done with his giant-ass painting and all of us are home for awhile, so we should be back on track for our Thursday sessions this month.

When we start drawing, we usually fall into silence for a little while (aside from some chill background music), but after the first few minutes of the long pose, we'll start catching up with each other, talking world politics or local politics (aka gossip), movies or art. Despite having a few weeks' worth of catching up to do, last night was mostly silent. Ryan (my housemate, who's been joining us on Thursdays for about a year) was deep in concentration trying to measure our model's proportions with his pencil - something I should probably be doing, as proportions aren't my strongest suit (see: the  left arm on every single drawing). Michael was similarly engrossed in what was mostly a portrait of our model (a spot-on likeness in charcoal, his favorite). I know I was struggling with the pose.  Kayley is pretty quiet in general (by the look of things, she wasn't struggling at all - I peeked over at her sketchbook and she had a beautiful likeness of our model's face rendered in pencil). 

Quiet night, but I think this deceivingly tricky pose deserved our concentration.
